As much as I was against the idea in the first place, I do think that GBL revival can have value for the game and is worth persisting with, IF some major changes are made.

1. Stick with it. Schedule and announce the next one for 2024 and plan to roll on every 4 yrs after.

2. Fix the obvious issues. Have a set up + coach separate to England or any other team. A British coach who understands the history and significance and isn't using it as a trial run.
Commit to inclusion of players from all 4 nations. Even if it's seen as tokenism. There is simply no point in having GB be England with a blue stripe.

3. Support it every year. England needs to play mid-year test against either the highest ranked of the other 3 nations, or a combined Celtic team.
RFL needs to return to funding and taking an active role in ensuring Wales Ireland Scotland develop their pathways and play tests annually.
For the RFL to cut off the other nations but also run a supposed combined GB team is Australia level arrogant.
