I'm gobsmacked by it. Made a tough day more than a bit brighter.

(PS Hanging on by teeth I live in regional NSW Hunter area, hoping like mad I can get to my son's wedding down the south coast on Jan 2........getting a bit concerned about how covid is ramping up )

Just go early. Stay longer then worst case you are stuck there.

I think this current cluster is going to escalate which is just so sad, so soon after border restrictions were relaxed.

My wife and I were due to meet our son who lives in Melbourne in Gloucester early in the New Year as he was getting some work done on his 4WD in which the business in Gloucester is the only place in OZ that does what he needs to be done. So a special planned trip to Tamworth, Gloucester and the Barrington Tops in now in jeopardy given he may not be able to leave Victoria. The damage to our economy from COVID 19 is truly catastrophic. We are but three people but our little one week trip if we cant do it will mean that region will miss out on probably 1500 dollars on accomodation, meals, and others costs. We are only three people. It is just so sad.

A lot of Christmas plans are going to be disrupted but the Government cannot relax restrictions just for Christmas in my view.

Sure, the cancellation of plans would suck, but so would having COVID kick off in a huge way again.

It is what it is, and whilst it would be hard on families, losing members of those families to this virus would be a lot worse.

Stay at home if you have to, there's always Facetime and whatnot to get in contact (I know it's not the same, but it's better than nothing).

I agree.

One thing that gives me the shits with our game. The tackled player is getting pushed in goal over the touch line etc then one or more of the tackled players team come in and assist their player to stop him going into touch etc. This needs to be addressed we are not playing NFL.

Happy new year everyone.

Back with another random question - I remember when I first started following the Panthers in the mid 90s that we played out of Penrith Football Stadium but by the early/mid 2000s it was simply Penrith Stadium (before the change to CUA Stadium in 2006).

Was there ever an official change by dropping "Football" and if so when was it?

As a marker (of sorts), I have just seen an old match report from 1998 that makes reference to Penrith Football Stadium.

The thing is you can't put everything on hold

Would be nice to have some indicators. Like what number of cases before schools are shut again. Does every case mean no travel?

The uncertainty for most is worse than actual virus.
