Minor premiership.

Debates on its importance aside its interesting to see who wins it.

Penrith:
- Storm (Home)
- Raiders (Away)
- Rabbits (Home)
- Titans (Home)

That road trip to Canberra is annoying and might be a game we relax things. Rest some guys or try a guy from cup.

Storm:
- Penrith (Away)
- Dolphins (Home)
- Cowboys (Away)
- Broncos (Away)

The Storm have the worse run home. The last two games really suck especially the Cowboys match in Townsville. They 100% need to build more consistency in their attack so Munster and the spine need to play I'm not sure they can afford a rest right now.

It's a big month of football incoming.

Roosters have Eels, Titans, Raiders and Bunnies for their run home. They are 4 points behind us but have a much better for and against so if we lose to Storm on Thursday night a top 2 finish for us is not exactly a lock.

That's true.

I'm not expecting two losses. I'm quite confident against the Storm. The Raiders should be beaten but we have to be smart. It's a shit road trip and I wouldn't mind resting a couple for that one.

And I am expecting the Roosters to lose at least one of those games. It's wishful thinking on the Roosters I'm biased as a Panthers fan but I just don't rate them at all. The Roosters off a bye should win those 4 games comfortably but that's just theory.

It would be interesting if we came 3rd at least. I'd love to play the Roosters week 1 of the finals.

We play the same teams as the Roosters in the last 3 rounds.

Theyre just as likely to drop one they shouldnt as we are. Should be right.

2021 GF vs Souths has been on DVD since October 2021. I got it that year for Christmas :)

They are criminally cheap at JB atm

I read The NRL stopped doing DVD'S end of 2021. Due licensing, but more than likely money. 2021 was the last one. Maybe in the future the club might do a box set?

I got the 2022 GF off Youtube last year. Downloaded it, and put it on a disc & USB for safe keeping.

The 2023 GF should be available on YT first week of October.

I love the guy because he is all effort and a great Panther.

But Daine Laurie needs to be mistake free on his first hit up. He has made an error with his first touch against the Eels and the Storm two weeks running. Both errors have led to tries.

It's a team thing overall our starts haven't been good this year particularly recently. But as an individual Daine needs to get it right next week. It's costing us.

Getting stuck into life in 'rehab' world.
The fun of a 5pm dinner.

Lights out by 9pm.

The exercises (painful as they are, I know they are worthwhile)

Learning to walk on arm sticks......it's all happening.

The biggest occasion for me is adding in extra information when they want to know my date of birth, my full name, what drugs I'm allergic too. I add in another random fact about myself,,,,,,,(just for my own amusement)

Also attempting to remember what I ordered for each meal..........

After the 2003 GF I went to Easts Leagues to get a copy of the match for the Beta VCR. I asked the lady behind the counter for one, and the look she gave me reminded me of the stare you got from the Vietnamese villagers on your patrols. She didn’t have one but she assured me “they had them in Penrith wherever that is”.
Poor dears. They thought they only had to turn up.

He is a small body trying (at times) to play like To'o/Turuva/Edwards. It's just not in his nature or physical make up to play that way - so these types of errors will occur with him. Thats more on the coach than on him.

It's just a bit of a sad reality with Daine that in this Panthers squad at least - he is a fullback or nothing type of player.
I would argue he should be given a decent crack at the #6 but Ivan doesn't see it this way - at least for this year.

Ivan sees him nearly every day so we'd have to trust his judgement - despite our armchair reservations.

I havent watched any replays other than what was televised, but I thought he copped one high from RCG that wasn't called, came up looking a little worse for wear. Also thought that the 'drop' against the storm could easily have been ruled a strip, hands all over the ball/arm carrying the ball agitating for it to be knocked loose yet no "clear stripping motion" BS but again haven't watched a replay. Still think he looks just about our most dangerous ball runner.

Definitely agree with our poor starts, its certainly been a theme throughout the season.

Happenings in rehab. I'm convinced my physio is a part time dominatrix and used car salesperson.

She is one tough lady.

Learning to stand unaided.....who knew it was so challenging.

Full time on the stix now. Need to have a carer with me in case of falls.

Being hammered about not drinking enough water too. Blood pressure too low. So I am drinking as much as a goldfish does.

Not quite the youngest one here, but in the top 5.

Love how when you just drop off to sleep they come in to do observations or a medical procedure........

So apparently our boy YAM was a guest on Josh Mansour's podcast.
Previews of the episode went up on Sunday night, and... well... Sauce found out how much the internet loves it when you give (alleged) domestic abuser's a platform.

Not gonna lie, I kinda hope the episode leaks somewhere. I'm morbidly curious to hear what he has to say about his time at the Panthers, and where it all went wrong.

I realise this is really LEFT FIELD. With the advent of the short drop out is the any reason why the team to whom the ball is being kicked to can't use the rugby lineout jump where there are one or two players lifting another to assist him to catch the ball. Some may laugh at this but it MAY be worth some thought.

Those who don,t like the idea yes I have too much time on my hands!!

Nothing in the rule book specifically outlaws it.

But I reckon in practice (especially under the scrutiny of the bunker), they would find someone acting as a lifter who has touched an opposing player and/or stopping them from getting close enough to the ball to make a play (eg. Obstruction).
