I dont think it will happen (Bateman return). He is in England which is a long way from Balmain. If it does happen he will sit in reserve grade.

No excuses for Hynes or the Sharks but its pretty clear what he is up to. Brandy is just sowing some further doubt into them. He has learned a lot from Gus.

Forget about positional changes. He doesn't have issues with his skillset either. The guy is just doing dumb shit in his game that he never used to. He plays like he has the yips.

I feel a bit sorry for Hynes. He was massively over rated by the media and handed a Dally M for being a good bloke. Now he is trying to live up to the expectation and he just aint it. Still a good player, but he has been built up and now getting cut back down. Not his fault, but it's just the level he is. Got a nice pay day out of it I suppose, so silver linings and all that.

Hynes had issues mentally side of things coming in the grades. Sadly still seems the same
