Still one week to go, anything can happen injury, suspension wise, but the Storm are clearly in the best shape, form wise, basically at full strength, they look by far the team most likely.

It’s been a really strange season and to be coming second after round 26 is quite an amazing achievement really.

In some respects I haven’t really enjoyed this season, strange thing to say, but it has been particularly frustrating while at the same time we are in with a chance.

The Taylan May situation was destabilising to say the least, more departures of key players Luai, JFH, Turuva as well as significant fringe players such as Iongi. The losses of Crichton and Lenui we haven’t quite found replacements for. SOO and the absence of our best player for a significant part of the season. It’s been frustrating to say the least and it is reflected in our performances overall.

You take all of the above factors into account and yet we are still in contention it is truly amazing.

I havent watched any replays other than what was televised, but I thought he copped one high from RCG that wasn't called, came up looking a little worse for wear. Also thought that the 'drop' against the storm could easily have been ruled a strip, hands all over the ball/arm carrying the ball agitating for it to be knocked loose yet no "clear stripping motion" BS but again haven't watched a replay. Still think he looks just about our most dangerous ball runner.

Definitely agree with our poor starts, its certainly been a theme throughout the season.
The Storm one the ball was knocked out by the knee of the tackler while Turuva was trying to play the ball.

I know people won't like it and think I'm banging on but what do we do about Nathan coming back in with 1 arm and Tago together? Hope for the best, swap Nathan and Luai, hide Nath on the wing?

if Martin went beast mode like for NSW, could he cover Nathan in defence? hiding Nathan like they hid Cronk 5-6 years ago?

if Nathans should is that bad - no point playing him week 1 - you play him when its elimination games - go all in and leave nothing to what could have been

Might be the assignment Marto needs to spark him but his best defence is when he's rushing out belting merkins and then has others to cover in behind him

I'm surprised it hasn't happened already. NSW players are going to go beast mode, I believe it. I think we can do this.

Was mostly thinking if people were worried about Cleary with a busted shoulder defending next to Tago who's not defending the best. Though Tago outside Luai might help him a little as well in both attack and defence.

Not that I care about Souths but the NRL is completely out of its depth on this matter.

Good chance this will continue to escalate.

Most of us are guilty of mistakes. Errors of judgement. Not defending him but we don’t live in a perfect world.

Not defending drink driving at all but I wouldn't be surprised if the Cowboys were not 100% happy with how he was performing and have used this as an excuse to get rid of him. I'm sure if it was a top tier player charged with the same offence that they would not of got sacked over it.

Jimmy was also done for coke about a year ago over in France. They may have just decided he isnt the type to have around a young core, very unprofessional..
