I was thinking the same. Commentators remarking on how deserved his call up is......

Oh dear, maybe some egg wiping is needed for some on this forum.
Or maybe they just don’t watch enough games .Based on his form even the maddest supporters of Penrith would find it hard to understand his selection based on his current form

Perth is a long way from Mount Druitt.

The drive across the Nullarbor is a bit further than the M7 interchange.

If the money is good players will follow but it's a huge adjustment.

Perth is going to have a tough 5-10 years in the NRL.

It's nothing like the Dolphins bid at all. Most judges got them wrong. Some didn't have them winning a game in their first season. They did a lot of things right before they started up. Decent recruitment, has an established club behind them (On the same seaboard) and nabbed a great coach.

Perth isn't Brisbane. They'll have similar issues with retention that the Warriors have. And if Perth is bad then PNG is going to be horrible.

My only concern for Perth, is Meninga. He has very little experience in setting up a club. Lets hope he recruits the right staff and he may have a chance. Not only that he didn't appear to be a good coach at the Raiders, based on the results he achieved.

The Dolphins recruiting Bennett and having a quality proven coach like Wolf, was a brilliant strategy. He attracted some good players and then instilled the right values to start the club off. I hope the Bears can do the same.
