Lomax case is over. So its back to square one again, organise a player trade and transfer fee if you want Lomax before 2028.

Melbourne probably don't take another bite at this. Any other Sydney teams who would?

I thought about a trade with Barnett for 2026 but the Warriors have been burnt too often. Lomax would be high risk and unlikely to see out a contract in NZ until the end of 2027.

Hilarious storm don't get Lomax and had to pay the Eels legal fees. f**k you Storms.

I thought Lomax would threaten to challenge the salary cap is order for the NRL's hand to get a deal done.

Shame we'll never see the contents of the messages between the Storm and Lomax's camp.

You would need deep pockets to go down this path. I couldn't see Lomax paying legal costs himself and Storm wouldn't risk it on a player looking to play for 3 different clubs in 3 years. Lomax is no Cameron Smith or Nathan Cleary.

Anyone who has had anything to do with people involved in horse racing knows that the entire thing is propped up by unwritten dodgy deals and trades.

PVL obviously wasn't expecting a NRL club to actually utilise and enforce a paper trail.

As a Panthers fan since 1967, I have been bred to treat Parramatta as our biggest rival.

We've always used the words detest and hate when referring to the smug Parra fans as they try to bait Panthers fans by calling us "little brother".

But something has changed in recent times because of one ego driven, full of himself, money hungry player in Zac Lomax.

Bravo Parramatta. Your stance on this issue has probably done the NRL a huge favour. Players should now realise that contracts and agreements ARE worth the paper they are written on.

Additional useless information about these two. They first played together in 1979 when Harold Matt's was U/14 and only played as a weekend tournament.

My dear old dad was the Harold Matt's coach for five years and Brandy was his 5/8 and Robinson the halfback.

‘Star of the future’: NRL players reveal EVERY club’s biggest pre-season standout

PANTHERS – BILLY PHILLIPS

Compared to Isaah Yeo, due to his stature and upbringing from Lithgow, Phillips has been earmarked as the potential successor of the Penrith Panthers skipper once he eventually hangs up the boots on his playing career. An Under-19s Queensland Maroons representative, he made his debut at the end of last season and will look to become a regular at the foot of the mountains during this year’s campaign.

Panthers captain Isaah Yeo: “He has been knocking on the door for probably two years now and he’s had another wonderful pre-season. He is fit as a fiddle at the moment, strong and he’s only going to get better. He is still growing into his frame but he has been really impressive.”
Phillips is from Lake Cargelligo

Brent Read has picked the Broncos for the 3rd time this year also tipped AGAINST the Panthers for the third time this year.

I'm leaning Broncos too actually.

Picking the Roosters is pretty wild though. Credit to them if they win but they've been our punching bag for a while now.
