Hey guys we’ve just signed someone from your club- don’t know much about him, is he any good?

I don't know about losing games, but I think it will be a little bit harder for us than usual. I watched the FOX League season encore today: the view seemed to be that we would be thereabouts once again this year and not drop off like some are thinking (or hoping) we would.

Keighran, who is also on the bench this week, is also a kicker I believe. Goal kicking will continue to be a concern I guess until Walker becomes a regular first grader. If and when that happens of course.

Keighran is apparently a very handy goal kicker too.

I think you are right in that Walker will be the answer by end of season though. My feeling is Keary moves back to 6 before too long.

Considering the round 1 team was already picked and Victor wasn't named in the team does that mean with the two game suspension he wouldn't be available till round 4 ?.

He will be available in Round 3. Just like any suspension, if a player is injured and then suspended, the suspension kicks in straight away and not after they are fit to play.

I agree about moving Luke back to 6 once Walker is ready. I always viewed this as a temporary measure until our young specialist half back was ready for regular first grade NRL.

I always thought Victor would be ready by Round 4. If it is Round 3 instead, then one can be pleasantly surprised!

Still a bit of confusion about Victors return date, this was on the NRL site, but i suppose at the same time it could also mean he is out injured till round 4 also.

Sydney Roosters
Jake Friend was sidelined early in the second half of his team's match against Manly following a head clash and is likely to be in doubt for round two.

Adam Keighran also suffered a dislocated wrist in the win and is expected to spend an extended time on the sidelines.

  • Jake Friend (concussion, TBA)
  • Adam Keighran (wrist, TBA)
  • Victor Radley (knee/suspended, round 4)
  • Sam Verrills (knee, round 3-4)
  • Billy Smith (shoulder, mid-season)
  • Boyd Cordner (concussion, indefinite)
