I succefully converted my parents to Raiders supporters (from Wests - Dad and Roosters - Mum) as well.

How the hell did you do that?

Wouldn't have been hard if the conversion happened between 1989-1994... Raiders extremely successful, Wests and Roosters enjoying little success....

Well My Dad and Mum when they came too Australia in the late 70's never really watched RL. My two older Brothers never really liked it neither... Then i came along and fell in love with Rugby League eversince i can remember... I converted one of my brothers into a Dogs fan and he goes almost every game with me and i've converted my parents too supporters (They go too a few games a year but watch every game on TV)... And when i get kids they will be Bulldog supporters (NO IF'S OR BUT's ABOUT IT)!!!!!!!!!

My paternal family tree has been traced back to 1800 in England. When the family came out to Australia (not in chains!), they resided in the Balmain district. My great-great grand father's auntie was a member of the Balmain club in the 1910s, including the powerhouse years of 1915-1917 when the Tigers won three premierships. And no, she didn't play (although she had a whole footy team worth of kids!)
AND NOW YOU SUPPORT THE COWBOYS!!!! No respect the youth of today! [-X

My nan was a bit of a turn coat supported Tigers at first but also supported Wests and Bulldogs at times but now is a diehard Tigers supporter as were 2 of her brothers one who bought me my first Tigers jersey when I was young. My mum and now I am a Tigers supporter and well when I have kids they will have no alternative but support them too lol.

My family have supported Easts in Brisbane from before they were even called Easts. My grandfather played for them in the 1930s and he and my uncle were involved in coaching and managing the juniors as well as senior sides. My uncle coached the reserves to a premiership when I was a kid... I still remember that day so clearly. A number of my uncles were players for Easts (in fact, the majority of them, in a big family). I am pretty proud of all of them, now I think about it. My cousin is still involved in Easts....

My first game of football was as a baby at Langlands Park and I remember not liking football all that much as a kid.... I used to take comics to read while the family watched at Lang Park... but as I got older I got hooked.

Now I live in Canberra, I am a Raiders devotee, but I still watch for the Easts scores every week in RLW etc. Shame about this year....

Growing up when I was a little lad I went for St.George but had 3 teams I went for. St.George, Canberra & Roosters. I went for St.George because they were my team, Canberra because they were the best in that time, & Roosters because my sister went for them & most of the games I went to were at the SFS.

I cringe at the thought that I liked Roosters, but of course there was no real reason to hate them

For generations before me my family has supported union, and despised league. My dad currently coaches a first grade club side. None of them like league at all. But I saw a game between the Sharks and Raiders when I was about 5, and loved the game. I adopted the Sharks as my team, but quickly realised they were useless, so I began supporting the Knights.

Whilst I do like union, league is now my sport.

I am at least a 4th generation North Sydney fan, My Great Grandfather was born around 1890 and supported them from day one, and my grandfather and father(who played flegg and other junior reps in the 70's for em) all grew up around the North Sydney Area. Not sure if my great great grandfather ever watched Norths at all so i may well be a 5th generation fan. Pretty much the whole family except for my uncle who supports Manly have followed the team tho.
Im also the first(and last) generation of Steelers supporters in my family.

I'm a second generation Sharks supporter.

My father got involved in sport in the Shire when he moved from the St George area in the late 1950's. He was once a Dragon's supporter, but soon adopted sport in the Shire, in our new. My grandfather represented StGeorge and Australia at soccer.

I've been involved in Shire sporting teams, and have been proud to represent my home. I've been following the Sharks for about twenty eight years.

both sets of grand parents and my parents were manly fans
so im a 3rd generation. While i have no kids yet i have ensured a forth generation by brain washing my sisters kids much to the disgust of my brother in law who is a broncos twat.
