was injured and we signed him on June 30 just to see how he goes. He's gonna have to go good though. DeGois, Kerr and Fulton have 9, 7 & 6 locked up so unless Sheens changes his selection policies he's probably gonna be a super sub at best.

I doubt Sheens had a whole lot to do with this one, and he's only on Premier League payments. It's not like he's on 200K of something he's just a guy looking for a chance and the maggies are giving him one. Similar to Atko and Kerr really and both have more than repaid the faith. It's likely to have next to bugger all to do with the Tigers and is just an inhouse Magpie signing.

I thought that was Leigh McWilliams they were considering. I remember Gordan Tallis saying that he would be a good player for Queensland. It was then revealed McWilliams is from NSW and the Hunter region no less 8)

Gatis was never considered for SOO.
He is a hooker who has played a bit of lock. Was never a half and has no kicking game. Gatis played for Wests in the Qld Cup before moving back to Townsville. His last year at the Cowboys he was playing local league with Centrals.
