MANLY prop George Rose says he want to repay the faith the club have shown in him by playing a leading role in their charge towards the finals.
Rose, who has played just a handful of games in the last two years due to injury, this week re-signed with the NRL premiers for a further two seasons.
It was a fitting reward for the 26-year-old who has been one of the Sea Eagles most consistent players in their rise up the table over the last two months.
The Bathurst-junior has given Manly significant impact off the bench and capped his new deal with a bullocking try in last Sundays win over the Raiders.
Now, with his near future settled, Rose has declared he wants to give something back to the Sea Eagles by continuing his strong form for the rest of the year.
The club has always looked after me (during my injuries), the training staff never rushed me and made sure my recovery was a step by step process, Rose said.
The temptation was there to come back early but they made sure I was patient.
I didnt want to come back and let the boys down.
They stuck with me and thats great.
I want to repay that faith they have in me by playing good footy each week.
And hopefully helping the club build towards another premiership.
Rose missed out on all the glory last season, just an interested spectator during Manlys rise to the title.
Its left him hungry to be a part of some success this year and he believes theres a similar feeling from 2008 returning to the camp.
We are now winning those close games we were losing earlier in the season, Rose said.
Were well placed now after our poor start. Its been very enjoyable winning games and being a part of the 17.
We just need to keep it going.
