Yow Yeh ran down Hayne in Origin III although that was the end of the game and Hayne had done a lot more work than Yow Yeh. Was still a good foot race though.

TBH i don't think Hayne would be in the top 10 at the moment. He seems to have put on too much mass over the last 2 years and speed has suffered because of it.
In saying that he is the same weight as Uate although Uate is a freak with his speed

6 months ago he beat Morris, Gardner and Barba in that 100m race, by a decent margin too.

I'd have him in the top 10 for sure.

Ok maybe i should've clarified that i meant he wouldn't be top 10 over 40. He would probably be around 5th or so over 100 i think.

Uate was a pro sprinter before his NRL days.. I think he would have everyones measure over 40m starting from the blocks. But there are some very fast players off the mark that accelerate to their top speed very quickly. Over 100m Uate would beat everyone hands down.

Over 40m there are quite a few quicker than Hayne, but over 100m he'd be right up there. But Uate is just a freak, he'd be my pick for sure. And someone mentioned Kevin Gordon glad they did he is lightning.

Sisa Waqa (Storm) can fly. Over 100 I think he could match Uate or Hayne.
Theres a clip on youtube of him turning and chasing Cooper Vuna. Awesome chase.

Hayne was still in front of the league players at the 40.
Beating the likes of Barba Morris, Gardner.

I don't see any player coming close to Beale. Not even Uate. He is close to a second quicker than Hayne over the 40. Just WOW.

Did you mean Beale or Bolt????? 1 second over 40m is just masssive. I really doubt that is correct. If it is it's scary to think how far ahead Uate would be.

Stats don't lie.
Beale during the off season ran a time which was .87 seconds quicker than what Hayne did in the first 40 of the Gatorade Bolt.
I never really watched Beale closely enough to notice this lighting speed.
I will be paying close attention to him this Friday when he plays wing.
If he gets into open spaces watch out no one will even get close.

Plenty of things that can influence a time like that. Was Beale running off a starting gun?

So many people seem to use 'he ran got run down by....' as an indication of speed, not taking into account ball carrier cant move as fast as chaser, the angle of the chaser tp the ball carrier, work rate and fatigue during the game before breaking away etc. Not always an accurate measure of speed guys unless it is really obvious.
