I believe Chev Walker is unhappy in Yawnion and may be coming back to League, i really hope it's true because centre is one position where a bit more depth would be handy for GB/Eng.

Didn't take Chev long to be unhappy... maybe he didn't get the same Farrell guaranteed appearance contract ;-)

He isn't good enough to play centre for GB if we want to win anything.

He is not in the same league as Ryan Atkins, Yeamen or even Gleeson. Walker was never anything more than a utility player for GB and he won't be in future even if he comes back.

i reckon he's worth a punt for someone in SL

I pretty much go out of my way to ignore anything with regards to union, but wasn't this bloke a gun union player at some stage? The name certainly rings a bell.

Ben Cohen was one of the wingers on the England RUWC winning team.

When RU scribes talk about him, he's 6'7" and 175kg of pure muscle, runs 100m in 6.3 seconds and cure little kids from cancer in his spare time.

In reality he's a lazy(er) Eric Grother jr with no agility.

Chev has never had the benefit of a good coach at club level and as a result has never reached his potential. At a new club and with the right coach to work on his game he may prove to be an excellent international player.

As it is he has played his best games for GB coming off the bench into the 2nd row, thats where he troubled Australia.

Chev Waker is going back to league because he can't get a game in first grade not because he is "unhappy" in union. Pryce (another RL GB squad member) is also on his way back because he can't get a game.

Ben Cohen would DESTORY any player in the ESL.

Great winger.

Ha Ha!

he would be handicapped by the spped at which Rugby League players exit the players tunnel for the kick off.

No doubt he would require a rest before the game actualy got underway.

The speed, continuety and intnsity of Rugby League would leave any union convert with a huge period of adjustment in terms of aerobic ability.

The common skills of the two games are practiced to a far superior degree in Rugby League and are performed under the most intense defensive pressure.

Ben Cohen could not survive the transition and would not cut it at Rugby League!

He's a good buy for them, second year in the top flight and needing to strengthen more than they could last time. Will be a solid player with experience, but not quite an old crock.

Not even remotely actually. Allthough he seems to have been around for years, he's only just turned 25! ;-)

That's what I mean. Much better Chev than some 28 yo random import coming from overseas. KR wouldn't have been the only club putting in a bid I'd imagine.
