Getting the points this week

Just wondering what everyone thoughts are on how to get the points this week against parra?

Kicking away from hayne is deffinately prority number one. Every kick must find space to give the line time to move up.

Maybe intentionally kicking the ball dead from time to time. It might give up 20m, but gives the line time to set and no hayne running it back at a broken line.

Also target the last 20 mins of each half as our time to spark. Get the halves to pull thier heads in early and let the forwards build the platform. As thier defence tires, then target the ruck area with dummy half darts and switches of plays to catch out the markers. I know it all sounds simple, but simple things often are the keys

Any other thoughts?

1. Find someone with a decent kicking game, and put them in the #7*.
2. When coming out of trouble (as we often will be) get the #7 to kick the crap out of it early in the tackle count.
3. Sometimes, instead of giving it to the #7, let Farah or Marshall have a kick.
4. When attacking on the line, give it to the #7 to feather a deft kick in behind the line. Get someone to follow it in and ground the f**king thing.
5. Sometimes, instead of putting in an attacking kick, spread the ball wide and run it.
6. Don't forget to tackle.

Seems pretty simple to me.

Other ideas:
7. Tell Liam Fulton to rip Hayne to pieces.
8. Tell Galloway that he's no chance for Origin this year.
9. Get Cayless into the starting line-up so his brother goes soft on him.
10. Find someone who actually wants to be a fullback.

*Under no circumstances should this be Farah.

Just muscle up in defense for 80 minutes. In the first half on sunday Manly were strong and aggresive in defense and Parra had no answer. They were ordinary, no one wanted to run the ball, and couldn't score a point. In the second half they dropped off and Parra dominated them.

And for f**ks sake, wrap up the ball.

And play everyone in their correct positions. Farah at 9, Benji at 6, and Fitzy on the bench. Moltzen, Lazarus or Taumata at 7.

Kicking wise, the best bet is to not put in any grubbers, at all.

Fullback can run and pick up grubbers on the fly, without slowing their momentum too much.

To field a high kick they either have to stand still or jump upward, either way, by the time they have the ball in their arms and both feet are on the ground, they have no momentum, making it much easier to shut down the fullback of any side.

We also need to try and keep their attack in the middle of the park and defend like madmen.

We can't try and make metres up the middle though, it won't work. Might even be worthwhile putting Galloway in the second row, Heighington at prop and Ellis at Lock.

Now Madunit, this kind of radical departure from Sheenlore could get you a week or two in the State Cup. Or... Uh... Hang on...

It sounds silly. But just score more points than them. The two best attacking sides in the comp and probably the two worst defensively. Whoever has the momentum for longer will win.

Wanted he and Ryan gone after their "effort" in the Cows game last year.

Have hated Moltzen at the back ever since but the real final straw was throwing the ball at Heighno because he didn't want to run it

Moltzen to State Cup for his heartless effort wil do me thanks

Agreed ,he is starting to become very annoying and becoming very obvious to the opposing teams that he is a bit soft on the kick return.
lets get him a headgear sponsor maybe something like our cricketers wear....come on moltz' "toughen" up ..

We stop their offloads, we win. It's that simple. Aside from Hayne and their offloads, they've got nothing.

Problem is, they are the best at offloads in the comp and we are the worst at stopping offloads in the comp, which is the reason why we've beaten them once in six seasons.

The one obvious statistic that sticks out in matches between Tigers and Parra is that we have let in more points against Parramatta than any other side we've played.

Parra have scored 515 points in 20 games against us. Thats 25.75 per game.

Everytime Parramatta have scored at least 18 points against the Tigers, they have won.

Hybrid is on the money. The only time we've beaten them is when they had half a team and wouldn't have beaten anyone.

Four forwards. What you need against Parra.

We do not need a "utility" (and I use that word loosely) this week.

f**k Fitzhenry off for Moors and I will be relatively pleased with the side named.
