A lot will depend on the start to the season, I think over the years we haven’t had any sort of mental resilience when things go against us we havent been able to stay in the game mentally, not that the boys don’t try, they give one hundred percent but in forcing passes, taking shit options under pressure, trying to rip the big tackle and missing, basically moving away from game plans and defensive structures, all come from being mentally frazzled. A few wins early in the season I think we carry some confidence and finish bottom end of eight (or maybe 9th), we don’t get a good start we’re looking 10-14. I’d say our par for this year is 10-12 wins

One thing I liked last year was the interplay between Galvin, Bula and Samuela Fainu, something was building there on the left side attack, it’s a shame Olam was out injured most of the year. The boys built some good plays and scored a few nice tries. Unfortunately it looks like Luai will now take that side, hopefully Galvin will be given a bit of freedom to play both sides

U can’t tell me that dickheads on good money & who should b leaders tried last season.Im referring to Stefanie Bateman Klemmer & there’s been numerous pissants at this culturally spineless club from its inception that haven’t given a fig about earning their keep. The problem is bad attitude by senior players trickles down & infects lower profile players. The degenerate Sheens wasn’t one to impose accountability on the inmates who have been having a lend of us fans for yrs. This poor attitude & my big bugbear not giving a fk about tackling are interrelated. Its about time the privileged players display pride in their weekly efforts.Im confident the influential & innate winner JL is about to be instrumental in changing the spineless culture of the concord rabble.

Agree & im certainly not concerned about our ability to score points. We need to start defending like our lives depend on it.Im fed up to the back teeth with our consistently inept paper thin defense that gifts the opposition endless soft tries especially in our red zone.

Tigers squad and contract news:

Jarome Luai, Sunia Turuva, Jack Bird, Jeral Skelton Terrell May and Royce Hunt have arrived at Concord as Benji Marshall sets up for this second full term in charge of the wooden spooners.

Stefano Utoikamanu and Isaiah Papali'i have left to weaken their forward pack, while John Bateman looks set to follow the duo out of the door.

Aidan Sezer featured for one season before returning to the Super League, while Junior Tupou has jumped ship to the Dolphins and Solomon Alaimalo has left to return to rugby union.

Jordan Miller's contract has been terminated after reported numerous breaches of his deal.

Adam Doueihi and Reuben Porter have inked one year extensions but are free to negotiate with rivals for 2026 and beyond.

Fonua Pole, Sione Fainu and Alex Seyfarth have secured their futures at the club with the forwards inking extensions.

John Bateman and Bud Sullivan have been released, although the latter is still contracted for 2026 and 2027.

There are players in that top 30 that will never play NRL IMO, Brandon Tumeth is one. I'd rather have a goer like Hope in there.
My guess is Hope will take Heamasi Makasini's place in the Development list later on in the season...my gut feeling is we will release a top 30 player mid year, someone who has the shitesters for not getting a gig. Matamua maybe?
