Brian had my full support for many years up untill 2 weeks ago....i cannot support him with what he's done to our side.

I was just looking through the 2001 GF edition of the big League programe..and thinking how great those days where ...very depressing.

Wanna See something more depressing? Watch the Eels 2001 season highlights tape,You feel like crying because they were so Good.

And no i dont support Smith anymore...He's an Idiot.

Brian Smith has been with our club as a loyal commited and determined individual for a substancial part of his career. Some would say that they appreciate what he has achieved but would then turn on him and say they don't support him. :roll: Unfortunately many see a coach as only being as good as his last game.

I support anyone who gives 100% towards the success of this club. Whether their 100% is good enough or not.

Misty anyone can always do better!! If your not trying to do better than you have been defeated. Smith is always trying and is still one of the smartest coaches in the game.

The point is, Freak, that I'm on about Para employing the bset person for the job, not just someone who is doing their best. If I was coach, I'd do my best too. However, with 2 years experiance coaching junior soccer, I'd probably win the club the wooden spoon. But it's nice to know that you and others would support me over those that would seek my replacement! ;-)

Brian Smith.. the greatest developer of Rugby League talent (player and coaches) in the NRL.
Parramatta is so lucky to have a man of his strength and character in charge of the playere development.
And for you Wagon bashers...Do you EVER take notice of the amount of defensive work he does???? Rugby League is a game of attack AND defence. His defensive workrate is outstanding..the equal of Nathan Hindmarsh.

I am a supporter of the club. There is no doubt about that. I am mates with the players and get to every game I can missing 2-3 away games every year. But for the life of me I cannot support Brian Smith. That does not make me a non-supporter but at the moment that man is making me hate rugby league. Two games this year I have wanted to walk out half way. That has never happened before. The man will make excuse after excuse whenever we loose, but not once will he say "Hey, I made some bad team/positional choices I will learn for next week." He needs to start taking responibility for his actions and stop putting down the talented players in our club.

If smith was to leave, who would you want to replace him???
If he was replaced then surely it would take awhile for the coach/players toget it together....

Thats not my job to decide. I know very little about coaching. But I know enough to say Smith isn't a good on at the moment. It's not an issue who to replace him with, there are plenty of options there.

Well the way you carry on about smithy's incompetance you'd swear you were the greatest coach football has ever seen!!!!

JT given the rest of the year as a trial run - if the players respond give him a 1 year with a 1 year option.
If nothing improves give John Cartwright a shot for season 2005. He is currently an assistant coach with the roosters. He took over as coach while stuart was coaching country and the roosters beat the tigers 22-0.

I agree with John Cartwright. Cant have JT coz he is within the club and disease spreads. Need a clean start.

You need to understand! that we need to make a decision now!! if ever.We need something established before the June 30 deadline so that the players off contract know who's holding the fort next year!!

players need to know who the coach is next year not who the caretaker is until the end of the year.
