Ghosts

For the record, do you believe in ghosts or spirits?

I did not believe in ghosts, but there are two incidents that make me think twice.

When I was 18, I decided to use with people I knew a ouija board. I could not be sure, but the quick movement of that marker had me concerned. It did not look like people were pushing it, but I could not be sure.

Another mate decided to use a quija board by himself. He told my mother that he had a very scary experience with what he believed was an evil spirit. He has not told me that story to this day. I think he considered me a non-believer and confided in my mother. She told me he was scared and vowed never to use the board again.

I've never had any 'experiences', except for one. Kinda. But it was probably a moth or fly or something.

I was asleep with the windows shut and I felt a cool breeze go past my face. Woke up, turned the light on and nothing. I figured at the time it must have been a bug...But there was nothing there.

I have a creepy experience happen to me about 15 years ago..

My first kid was born and she was born premature and so had to stay in hospital for a month..Her mother stayed with her on this particular night and there wasn't any room for me plus I had to go to work the next day..

I went home (house on the lower north shore) and had watched a little bit of a League match on the TV and then turned the light out to go to sleep..I was worried about my child and had trouble getting to sleep..As I was almost dozing, I felt my doona sort of slowly moving off then it stopped and then 'something' sat on my foot and the end of the bed..

I went rigid for about 5 secs, then reached my arm out and tapped on the touch lamp..

No one there (of course)



Footnote: The house was owned by a judicial figure from a while back whose son hung himself after - apparently - drug problems...

Why is it that anyone who 'sees' a ghost is either a) nuts, or b) the only one around to see it? If they were real, they would have been seen by more people, and have far more conclusive camera/video evidence.

I must be the only white person on the planet that would get out of bed and bolt down the street never to return if that happened to me...
