It looks like Glebe have attracted enough players to field an A Grade this season. They are now looking for a coach.

Which comp will they field a team in? I guess the options are Souths A grade or the SCC?
Speaking of comebacks, Sydney uni have an eye on the RMS in the next couple of years

I can recall Wentworthville and Ryde-Eastwood playing in the pre-season around 1970 but not Sydney Uni.That is interesting about Sydney Uni. They were in the second division for about 10 years and played in the preseason Wills Cup against the 1st Division teams.

Actually we entered into the Ron Massey arrangement with Concord Burwood in late January but we had to wait for the league to sign off before going public. We planned to run A grade alongside the RMC but a lack of local available ovals for training put us behind the 8 ball. Then the SCC comp start was brought forward 3 weeks and we were a little short on players so we decided to hold off on A grade for this year. We intend to field a couple of junior teams as well in Balmain Junior League. Exciting times. 31,969 days between drinks but Glebe is back.
That's true, but there is an issue with portability. Concord-Burwood-Glebe would only be allowed to send approximately two players back to Glebe SCC each week because of the quality of the players. If we received 8 RMC players each week it would provide an SCC team with an enormous advantage. We are happy to take our time. Ron Massey Cup and junior teams in year 1 of our comeback is a pretty good start.
