Most interesting thing I found in that article is Lomax has apparently stated he is moving to left centre (no actual quotes) to be inside Fox. Interesting as I've read previously that Penisini has been training on the left.

Maybe Ryles hasn't liked what he has seen with that combo and is going to change it up.

I think it was a bit of a myth that he failed in that spot at the Dragons, they were dogshit prior and Hook threw him there as a Hail Mary and I think he was probably trying too hard to make things happen.

In saying that I would prefer they split Lomax and JAC just to even out the edges a bit. Otherwise we are going to be super left side dominant, Brown, Tuilagi, Lomax, JAC.

We tend to favour attacking down our left, so linking Addo-Carr, and Lomax, would make that side really dangerous.

Plus, Lomax is a very good defender, and Fox is a great communicator, so that edge should (in theory) be defensively solid.

Also means it's a cross field kick for Moses to Lomax. Whilst it was fruitful, it did look a bit awkward in origin when they were on the same side.

I think Lomax will play right side. He seems to have a good relationship with Moses already.
Moses can kick from the middle of the field across to him, as the main kicker he isn’t locked down to one side. Plus Brown has an ok cross field kick

I think as well, rather than looking at geographic areas and their need for a team, population size should be a factor as well. Sydney has over 5 million people and somewhere between 10% (rabid) and 40% ('non-practicing') of them would be NRL fans. The Sydney market should be able to service a lot of NRL clubs.

A decent number of the 5 million greater Sydney residents are 1st or 2nd generation immigrants, with some pretty big numbers coming each year.
If I moved to a new country I’d probably follow the local sport.
I wonder how many fans the game picks up from the new arrivals? Or how many fans are 1st generation fans (they didn’t pick up the game from mum and dad etc)?
Probably no way of knowing.
