Yeah - If you had the choice of those players, who would be in your starting 17 Einstein?

Firstly, thank you for Acknowledging my superior intelligence :sarcasm:

08. Jason King versus Roy Asotasi
09. Michael Monaghan versus Stuart Webb
10. Brent Kite versus Peter Cusack
11. Anthony Watmough versus David Kidwell (JUST) and only due to Watto's poor 06 form.

12. Steve Menzies versus Joe Gulovou
13. Luke Williamson versus David Fa'alogo - Anthony Watmough

Yeah, Because Artie Beetson is a son of the Coogee Sands :p

We didn't start it. Wests weren't called the 'Millionares' because Arthur Summons and his lads were all merchant Bankers...

...Rapers reason for joining the Dragons "They offered me more money!"

...Manly got sh*t because unlike Parramatta, they refused to accept thier place in the hierarchy below the older clubs...

Ryan, Pull your head in. Beaver's regarded as one of the premier players in the game these days FFS!

Whilst I don't agree with Ryans opinion, I think Adam Cuthbertson may be the player to watch in 2007. Keep an eye out lads!

Pffft - regardless if a dude plays for Manly, he can still have an opinion on a player. I was sitting with the SG Ball kids at The Tigers trial @ Brooky this year, and you should have heard them calve Kane Cleal up !!! Rather amusing really.
The fact is, our forwards in my opinion are the worst in the NRL now. Example - look at Souths:-

08. Jason King versus Roy Asotasi
09. Michael Monaghan versus Stuart Webb
10. Brent Kite versus Peter Cusack
11. Anthony Watmough versus David Kidwell
12. Steve Menzies versus Joe Gulovou
13. Luke Williamson versus David Fa'alogo

Brent Kite is the only player you'd pick in that side !!!

I don't think Crusher has the network he used to, and believe that's why J Lyon has an out clause if he leaves. It's called INSURANCE on Crushers behalf.

NFI. Stick to posting on MSE.

Where does that put Matai / Burns / Dunley / Lyon. One of those players (if Cuthbo is playing) HAS to be dropped.

Sorry Rainman - your stuck with me. My side would look like this:-

01. Brett Stewart
02. Micheal Robertson
03. Jamie Lyon
04. Steven Bell
05. Chris Hicks
06. Travis Burns
07. Matt Orford
08. Jason King
09. Michael Monaghan
10. Brent Kite
11. Anthony Watmough
12. Steve Matai
13. Steve Menzies

14. Shayne Dunley
15. Mark Bryant
16. George Rose
17. Luke Williamson

Reasons:-

- Our bench in quality does not go backwards from 06.
- Burns and Orford in 1/2's means consistency in the 1/2's for the 1st time in a long time.
- I'm an advocate of playing the best centre in the world, in the centres.
- I don't like Matai in the back row, but he'll be an 80 minute player, and could play very wide like ALMOST like a centre, and can run off Lyon.

I'd also like to see Matt Ballin given a few shots early on in Dunley's position.
The same can be said of Cuthbertson for Williamson.

Briza - I was only responding in kind mate to your shot at me. No offense intended.

Personally, I'd like to see the side:

1. BRETT STEWART
2. MICHAEL ROBERTSON
3. JAMIE LYON
4. STEVE BELL
5. CHRIS HICKS
6. TRAVIS BURNS
7. MATT ORFORD
8. JASON KING
9. MICHAEL MONAGHAN
10. BRENT KITE
11. ADAM CUTHBERTSON
12. ANTHONY WATMOUGH
13. STEVE MENZIES

14. MATT BALLIN
15. GEORGE ROSE
16. MARK BRYANT
17. STEVE MATAI

Reasons:

I think Ballin and Cuthbertson should replace Dunley and Williamson. Dunley and Williamson look as if they are beyond their best and Ballin and Cuthbo have everything to prove. I think Matai should be on the bench, basically because if he's good enough as a second rower, then he'll replace Cuthbo in the starting lineup if need be.

Again Scuba, i agree

I'm not against Matai being trialled as a backrower, but i am against him starting as a backrower

Leave him out of the heavey stuff, then bring him on when the forwards are tiring so he can use his speed to cut the oppisition to shreds.........i see him as a Manly Dean Widders or Rod Jenson
