I need a question answered.

With Channel Nine's HD channel 90 now becoming the 'Go' Channel, does that mean that no NRL matches will be shown in HD anymore? It does not appear as though NRL will be shown on that channel which means FTA League will only be on digital 9.

This is very disappointing if I am correct. The quality of NRL on 90 is brilliant - especially on my 63inch Full HD LCD TV. That was one of the reasons I bought it!!

Anyone know more about this?

Yeah GO isn't even HD...it's a seperate digital channel, so your NINE HD should still be all good.

I'm in a regional area, and our local win HD is off service due to 'rebuilding the WIN HD service"...I'm hoping like hell this means the footy/cricket etc will be on that HD service when it comes back on!

Does this 9HD channel have the same programmes on as normal Ch 9 or do they show differerent things at different time slots in different states?

The NRL is broadcast in HD? Could have fooled me. We've had exactly 0 games in HD down here on WIN, yet we get the AFL shows on WIN in HD.

BAsically the same programing except on weekday mornings I think and on the odd occasion in the evenings. eg When the NRL footy show is on, 9HD shows the AFL one. Just occasionally like that it will be different.

As far as I'm aware, no NRL has been broadcast in HD yet. They're still using the same cameras.

Pretty sure cricket is the only sport 9 have broadcast in HD.

Yeah i actually thought the same. Just because you watch something on a HD channel doesn't actually mean its shot in HD.

Tuning Your Set Top Box

From Wednesday, August 5, 2009 GO! will be established on the Digital Television system across Australia.

As a result of the introduction of GO! some Digital viewers may experience a small disruption to Nine/WIN/NBN channels on their Digital TV, set-top-box and PVR's.

If viewers experience disruption to their viewing, Nine Network recommends they access the set-up menu of their digital television or digital set-top-box and "rescan" using the automatic tuning function. This should rectify any problems.

Hotels and apartment buildings with an MATV system are advised to check with their service provider.

Viewers watching Nine through a Foxtel or Austar set-top-box will not need to make any adjustments on Wednesday. It is expected that GO! will become available for Foxtel Cable and Austar MyStar subscribers in the coming weeks.

Viewers with enquiries can call the GO! Digital TV help line on 1300 152 231 or the supplier of their set-top-box or IDTV.

**Unplug the ariel from your TV.

Wipe the TV channel memory by doing a blank channel search (rescan).

Then, plug the ariel back in and do an auto-search for the channels again.**

You will find that your channels should be updated.
