Yeah, that dick was trying to rile us up out the back. 47 and his "Celery Cap" got under his skin, whilst all the Melbourne fans waiting at the bus saw the humorous side to it.
did he stand infront of hte bus with his celery?

According to some in this forum, those loses are a coordinated trick for future encounters! I somehow doubt that we will meet Cronulla in the finals, so I'm not quite certain how the theory works there.
well you never know - no harm is covering all your bases

It looked like Slater was crying when he was walking off to spend some time in the bin for his dog act. i loved the wanker chant.

hayne has a completely legit defense

it was billy slater .... just mention that at the judiciary and i'm sure everyone will agree the guy is a knob and had a smack in the head coming - they should just let him off with a warning for not doing it harder ffs

Totally agree with this one.

Hayne is a tough bugger. He had a huge game tonight. And to let Slater have it, well that was just icing on the cake.

Hayne was the dominant player out there tonight.

Tonights game was a great example of why the storm shouldn't even be playing games though. They can play dirty, & not care if there is a suspension outcome. It's not right.

yep and cam smiths attitude to the ref of "we got nothing to lose" just says hey we will do what we want. put us in the bin we will keep doing it...f**king tossers

and im sure archer was referring to the fact that billy had his origin jumper to lose.....well thats what i thought of anyway

Cameron Smith goes to the top of the hate list after rewatching the replay. How is he captain? He's the most immature merkin I've ever seen. His conversations with Archer clearly demonstrate he doesn't fully grasp the ramifications of their cheating.

On a side note, going beyond our own inconsistency, why can't Archer be consistently good as he was last night? Thought he handled every situation perfectly

Archer was quite good last night, though he shouldn't have stood there and copped that arrogant attempt of intimidation from Smith.

Was nice to see the lion's share of 50/50s go our way for once as well it must be said.

A sweeter 2 competition points you would be hard pressed to find.

I cannot believe nobody is making any fuss over slater leading with his knees when Hayne voluntarily tackled himself. Thats worth 2 weeks by itself.

Gotta say that all but one of our forwards put in for 100%. No prizes for guessing who was the unfittest and found it hard to keep up with the speed of the game. he is the same guy who went missing when it was time to roll up your sleeves and get angry.

33rd minute of the first half IIRC, Hayne makes the break and then slips has he tries to change direction.
Finch completes the "tackle" by putting the hands on him and the Slater comes in the only way he knows, knees first.

I noticed some of Melbournes old tactics seemed to be kreeping back in the game, I noticed Blair I think it was start to grab arms in awkward positions as he was making a tackle.

Slater only has himself to blame for the wanker chants, the way he carries himself is a disgrace to the game. It's fine to have a ego and all but you don't see Lockyer or Hindy or even Petero carry on the way he does on the field. Slater may be a nice bloke if you get to know him but he acts like a complete tosser on the field.

We just want some consistancy !!!!! How can the same team that played so well tonight get it so wrong against the Sharks and Saints ???????????

They probably have been thinking about this game for a few weeks, which would have made it very hard to get up for those games...

Lol @ Cam Smith " we have nothing to play for" Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!

Suck sh*t enjoy that kitchen you whinging Merkin!!

It would be interesting, then, to ask Cameron Smith what he thinks an appropriate punishment for Melbourne would be? Maybe none at all?
Anyway, that game last night might be the beginning of the unravelling of the Storm`s spirit. I hope so. And who better to kick it off than Parramatta?

That will be the season defining game for the Eels.

IMHO, that will also go down as one of your best victories for the club.

Cheers

I reckon you`re right on both counts. That`s one of the best Parra games I`ve ever seen, in terms of what it meant. It`ll be a defining game for Melbourne, too. The beginning of the end.

i don't blame smith for saying what he said after archer told him what he did - ONCE! .... but FFS Cameron, shut the f**k up and get on with the game - what the f**k was Archer gonna do about the f**ked up results of YOUR club's cheating then and there? .... either turn up and play or forfeit the rest of the season - but don't whine like a f'n bitch you dickhead

they then went on shaking their heads like total wankers every time a decision went against them the entire rest of the game ..... what wrong? hard to take when things don't all go your way? - you've had the rub of the green for a f'n decade - hard to take when it doesn't keep coming ... dickheads!

And that`s really the bottom line, isn`t it? If the NRL had made them shed players so that they were fielding a legal team this year, no-one would be feeling this way. It was a monumental error. You could almost say it`s the NRL`s fault that Hayne will face a suspension. It`s not normally his go to be aggressive like that. It was brought on by the fact that we lost the Grand Final last year to a team of cheats, and the NRL is letting them cheat again this year (by even more) and still keep playing. It must be very frustrating to play against them. There`s a lot of resentment there that could have been avoided if the NRL had thought it out better.
