What else can be said about a team that has won nothing in 30 odd years. Sad but very very true.

You're talking about Souths, right? Not won anything since 1969 except a box-set of wooden spoons...

Ahhh, what a great picture.

Interesting stat from nrl.com...

Rabbit proof defence
Souths have lost 17 of the last 18 clashes against Cronulla, including the last 10 in succession. The Sharks average just over 26 points a match against the Rabbitohs in this time frame while the Bunnies have an average of just less than 12 points. The Bunnies have also failed to beat the Sharks under lights in their history.

but who would you follow????D

Is that a rhetorical question? I'm a Shire boy, I follow teams representing the Shire, my birth place, and true home. My father also follows the Sharks, although he grew up in the St George area. When he moved to the Shire he adopted it as his home.

Fair enough I'm not putting you down, you can support whoever you like. However, my father and grandfather represented the StGeorge area in Athletics, Soccer, and Rugby League, but I don't follow the Dragons because they've won heaps of premierships. I follow my heart, and support teams that represent the place I grew up. I competed myself for the Sutherland Amateur Athletic club at the State level.

You seem to be criticise me for following a team that hasn't won a premeirships. I don't care how many comps the Sharks have won, because I'm a loyal fan, I'll stick by them. In any case, it pisses me off when ignorant fans say the Sharks have won nothing. You asked what we have won and you were told. The trophy cupboard is anything but bare.

Of course they haven't won the title that matters, and hence my signature.
I'll follow the Sharks till they win the comp, and mate it'll be so sweet when they do. If they don't this year, I'll still suppport them. There is no other club that I would ever support.

I've lived in Maroubra nearly all my life and there's barely a shred of passion for South Sydney. But go down to the Shire and there's heaps of passion for the Sharks. Souths are just barely clinging to life and will be dead by 2010 and no court case will bring them back to life this time.

Hell yes.

I live in the South Sydney area, and play for their juniors and have represented them in the juniors - but I do not support them.

At the Junior level, yes I do support Souths. I have many friends still toiling away for the Flegg and Ball teams, so of course I'm going to show them support.

But at the Senior level I couldn't give a rats arse about them.

I'm not alone. A lot of the guys I play with follow other teams.

OK Rastus asked, and you seem to echo his sentiments by saying "my "Eternal Bridesmaid's signature says it all." Yep, the Sharks are the Eternal Bridesmaids as Parramatta once were, it's a fact of life. I can't wait till I can change my sig to "Ding Dong the witch is dead." The Sharks haven't won a premiership in first grade, but there is lot to proud of in the club's history.

Good on ya, for following a club that has battled for its survival for a long time. The Sharks were in the same situation in the 1970's, and Shire rallied behind them by giving donations to help the club survive. The Sharks have some very loyal fans, as Souths do.

I was driving along Anzac Pde once and thought Long Bay Gaol was South Sydney Leagues club until I was told it's full of Bulldogs supporters.

As for souths stability, didnt souths juniors tell the club to find another source of income because they didnt want to keep them afloat anymore?
