Eh, it was alright. I don't think I enjoy movies in general anymore. The special effects were awesome, as was the entire third act, but in terms of the big picture, it was merely alright, imo.

Godzilla's acting wasn't impressive at all, any could do it with enough takes

I loved it. I thought it was epic and told the story and legend of Godzilla so well.

I wish they focused on the big guy more but that was a minor complaint.

It was epic. Movie of the year for me. Easily.

I thought it was excellent.
Very well paced. They kept the big guy away for a very long time (reminiscent of Jaws and Alien).

Cranston was great and Taylor-Johnson was an effective leading man. They didn't give Elizabeth Olsen much to do though. Apart from that, I loved the characterisation.

Special effects were indeed special.

Can't wait for the sequel.

TBH, I don't think so.
Didn't really add much to the movie.

I always con myself into going to the 3D sessions in movies and always seem to come out thinking it was a waste of money.

I tend to not even notice it 10 minutes into the movie so really what's the point.

Having said that, I'm sure I'll have 3D glasses on for X-Men next week.

I enjoyed it. Wasn't really anything groundbreaking, Godzilla effects aside, but it was fun.
Godzilla scenes - 10/10. The monster was the best character. I wish there was more scenes with him. Seemed like more time was devoted to the Mutos though.
Joe Brody/Dr Serizawa scenes - 8/10. Quite interesting.
Ford Brody plot - 5/10. Uninteresting and cliched I thought. Human element was underdone and the 'husband trying to get back to his family' plot has been overdone to the max in disaster movies. Every time they were on screen I was wishing they would get back to Godzilla.
Overall - 7.5/10

Hopefully we see Rodan, Gamera, King Ghidorah and co. in the sequels.

Except that's no more true than it is with you. Everyone is contrary on things. Get over it mate. From what I remember I've had contrary opinions to you on Pokemon (where you were the one being contrary to everyone else), Thailand, acting and some Game of Thrones points (a thread where everyone has contrary opinions about something). Attacking someone's character because of a few differing movie/game opinions on the internet is as immature as it comes.

Watched it yesterday and thought it was great, only downer was the big fella could have been in it a little more but the battle scenes were awesome.
