Seen it twice. Want the bluray.
Thought it would be cheesy and shit with ridiculous CGI up the wazoo.
Was uncheesy. Was suspenseful and awe inspiring. CGI didn't overplay it's hand. Even the fan-service atomic-breath kiss-of-death felt natural.

It probably is a bit long a 2 1/2 hours BUT there really isn't any dead time in that. You're always getting information to tell you what is going on and why.

Hopefully Wazn is in the sequel
 If Wazn is in the sequel may take a while for him to get in the frame. or maybe get Chris Waller to direct.

I can't believe people actually liked this piece of garbage. It was an amateur effort. The acting besides Bryan (who was great but let just say wasted) was terrible. The script was rubbish and didn't make sense.

The wife of the main character was an Olsen FFS.

The government was apparently having a super secret cover up for 60 years. Yet knew SFA about the monsters. And were begging the young guy for info. Yet his dad's apartment was full of the info. All over it's walls. They kept cutting away from action, including when the young solider and Japanese kid were trapped on the train. We never know how they got out of that situation. But it was just a script cheat. Script cheats were everywhere.

The military command was stupid beyond comprehension. And the scenes devoid of believable dialogue.

And what about the second facility. LOL. Yea no one was researching or guarding it? Yea... Ok. Sure.

How abou at the start. When the solider is with his wife and they cut in just as he tells some hhhhiiillllaaarrriiiooouuuussss joke and they are laughing like it's the funniest shit ever. But we join the action after he tells the joke so the writers don't have to think about anything funny.

Or the annoying kid. Jesus Christ.

Godzilla was pretty cool. But didn't get enough screen time.

I won't say more due to spoilers. But Jesus.

If you people lapped it up so much. Begging for more. You are the reason Hollywood films suck so hard these days. And why they keep serving up half baked remakes.

So if someone is an Olsen, that means they are 'bad' at saying lines? Who cares?

People lap it up because it was hyped to oblivion and they don't want to be seen as wrong. I didn't think it was bad, but the trailers were misleading.

Or maybe we just actually enjoyed it.
Come on, it's not like people never hate movies that were hyped up (Man Of Steel; Dark Knight Rises; Prometheus).

The movie had its flaws, a few plot holes, bad acting, Cranston died way too early, but lets not sound like like the Cinema Sins guy.

Its a Godzilla movie, for a popcorn flick it was good. If you want bad, go see the 90's Godzilla movie

Watched it.

I enjoyed it, but I don't think it's nearly as good people are making it out to be.

The only sad was at the beginning when the wife died. Other than that, I did not care one bit for the characters, & would felt nothing for them if they died.

The monsters were great, but I thought the sudden firebreathing ability was a cop out.

Dean please, Godzilla has Atomic Breath, not fire breath. It was also badass how he atomic breathed one of the MUTO's head off.
