Gold Coast Dolphins: New fans to jump ship?

The main thing is we need hate like mine and others to work for rugby league.

We need to give them a vehicle for their passion / hate. So it works for us, not the Lions or Reds.

Everything is present for the most fiery rivalry ever, which will benifit all parties.

One thing is for sure, the Dolphins fan base wont be light weight or full of half hearted ring ins. They will be passionate and blood thirsty. :D

The Cowboys have claimed a lot of homeless fans in Brisbane. It will be interesting to see the level of support they have at Round 1, Lang Park. At least three of my friends have claimed them as their team.

Cowboys v Dolphins v Broncos will be fantastic...

If the Dolphins get the green light I would remain an Eels supporter but I will get a Dolphins season pass and cheer for them every week except when the Eels are in town.
Kinda weird I guess, but I really want a GC team and will do everything I can to help keep them here.

It happened to me when the Knights came into the competition. But I just couldn't turn my back on the Bulldogs. Though the knights give me a second team to cheer during september.

My situation was the same. I'm a born and bred Novacastrian, however I already had red, white and blue coarsing through my veins before the Knights had entered the competition. The question of making the Knights my number one team had never entered my mind - loyalty to my team is stronger than my geographical location. When you consider how poorly we were going around the time the Knights entered the comp, I think that says a lot.
However, I'll always have a soft spot for my local team (go the Wyong Roos).

I wouldn't jump ship, but I would go and watch them, being my local team.

Just about everyone has a second favourite team, they'd slot in there nicely.

Being a former seagulls & chargers fan (i was only 4 when the giants were in), i became more of a rugby league fan since there demise. i have a soft spot for the doggies. but have, in recent watched more english superleague than NRL.

With an NRL team up the road (i'm a tweed heads boy), i will definitely be back to having my no.1 team again

Sorry if I have principles that the Broncos have shat all over.

Sorry you can't buy my loyalty.

You are just a bunch of light weight Bronco groupies. The Broncos can never do anything wrong and you would buy any garbage the Broncos try to sell.

Think for yourself for a change. FFS.

Ok. Which diehard are you? the good one or the bad one, or then again are you female, and it's that time of the month?????

It's funny. You lot are all talking like the pathetic GC bid even has a chance.

When the Central Coast are admitted they will be my second team. Pure and simple. I will attend as many games as my work schedule allows.

Nite all.

I didn't think people from the central coast supported their local team.

Sorry if I was against...

- The changing of the logo to a rip off of an NFL team

- Them changing the colours and adding blue.

- Them changing to a gay glorified T shirt of a jersey with no collar.

- Them starting Super League and their countless incidences of them whinging about ficticious conspiracies.

- Them being against a 2nd team in Brisbane and SEQLD. And demanding a SEQLD exclusivity contract.

- Them marketing themselves as the Ergon Energy Broncos. They are Brisbane Broncos.

- The neo nazi admistration of Lang Park, that doesnt allow mexican waves or flags bigger than the ones from the merchandise store.

- The move from Lang Park to ANZ.

- Most of their fans being mindless lemmings.

- Them putting themselves before the health of Rugby League. They are a company not a club and only care about their bottom lin.

- Their innept attempts to beat the Lions in every department, especially promotion.

It is endless. It is about time Southern Queenslanders were given another choice. Rugby League is being stagnated and poisoned with the Broncos being the sole flag waver.

Why do I like the Broncos? I was their #1 fan until 1999, which I realised they were satan.

I am a fan of the players and Wayne Bennett.

I mean the original move from Lang Park to ANZ. Because of a sponsorship conflict. Powers sponsors of Broncos, XXXX sponsor of QRL and Lang Park.

yeah i remember at half time when the broncos had half time in the middle of the field, but surrounded themselves in a powers banner, talk about $hit stirring!!!! both partie were guilty of having thier heads in the sand (ala ARL vs Superleague) and i am sure a decent arrangement would have been sorted out had they really tried , I hate talking about cowboys all the time, but that final up here against brisbane took a lot of negioating between XXXX(cowboys sponsor) and Carlton United(the Finals sponsor) though i heard it all nearly all fell through, it all went good in the end and everyone was happy (main issue was pouring rights at the ground and signage). So big issues can be resolved when everyone gives a little [-o< i was once a broncos fan too, but i went to school next to dairy farmers (it was a trotting track though back in the day) so it was obvious i had to change my allegiances come Rd 1,1995, and besides, the broncos are satan spawn anyway, muwah ha ha ha!!!
