Why should some games be worth 3 points, and the rest 2?

if we have to keep it and I'm far from a fan and I believe the muppets have 80 minutes to find a result a draw is fair.

However if we have to keep it...

Lets change the points

4 points for a win (all games)
2 points for a draw
1 point for a GP loss
3 points for a gp win
(obviously a GP draw would be 2 points)

I would personally make it golden try though not Golden Point which is just a field goal a thon

I like golden try. But you still allow all scoring Methods so you can still win with a field goal in extra time. Stuff the different points system though.

Yeah agree on that but the try ends it. Still hate the notion of playing 80 minutes and getting nothing. What’s exactly wrong with a draw?

Yep, you can't have a situation where this is possible.

If they want to reward the team's effort so much then just give them a point each at 80 minutes and call it a day.

I like Try only scoring method.

So we can put that "3 points for golden point" idea to bed once and for all. If Martin didn't miss from right next to the posts tonight would have gone to GP and 3 points for that game would have been a travesty.

Have all points count (penalty, field goal, try) but only a try wins it instantly. If at end of golden point time, no try has been scored, team with most points scored wins (penalties and/or field goals). If points even, first point scorer in golden point wins. If no points scored in golden point, point scorer in first 80 minutes wins. If no points scored at all the whole day, it is a draw and maybe free tickets to the next game for the poor crowd.

Hypothetically if a team kicks 3 penalty goals to go 6 up then the other mob score a try they win despite scoring less points. Seems a bit silly.
