Mate League is not the like back then anymore. He wanted to come back on but the doctor said no. Despite his form for Souths I really think that the Kiwi's needed Kidwell in the side. His passion for that Jersey is 2nd to none.

At the end of the day, he may not have been able to make too much of a difference.

Halatau and Luke should have played at the same time and that combo may have made a difference.

NZ played with great courage.

I will say this time and time again, Issac Luke is simply a freak, his near try would of added some history to the freakish tries that souths have scored, Craig Wing's solo effort against the sharks and the Rabbitohs team try that won try of the year against the storm in 06.

Great tackle from Billy Slater, I dont think any other fullback would of made that tackle, his desperation defence is second to none in the NRL.

Roy can't be criticised. He wanted to go on with it, but it was forbidden by the doctor. Two concussions in three games ... I'd go back to wearing headgear for a few weeks if I was him (even though my wife, who swears she'd leave me in a heartbeat for Roy if he'd have her, would be disappointed with the reduction in visibility).

Luke was great as expected, although twice I saw the footy "tunnel ball" right through his legs in the play the ball. I doubt it was purposeful, so twice was bad ... he spent just a bit too long trying to figure out what he was going to do with the ball. Those instincts will improve with experience, though. I can't believe some people have criticised his defensive effort just because he was the last man in for two of the Aussie tries. At least he was there and he nearly pulled off a try saver against Gasnier ... the Dragon was just too big in the end.

Fa'alogo, however, I thought had a poor game, particularly defensively in the first 20 minutes. I hope he got it out of his system and he's back to his usual standard down here in Canberra.
