Good Start to 2006...

I'm pretty impressed with how much good music is already coming out in 2006.

The new Flaming Lips track rules - 'The W.A.N.D' is a great track and now I can't wait for the new album (has it leaked anywhere yet?). Hopefully a tour mid-year as well.

I'm not much into Hip Hop, but I'm digging the track 'Down to Mexico' by Boca 45 that Triple J has been flogging lately - damn catchy track. Also 'The Greatest' by Cat Power is a really good song - bit disappointed with the rest of the album and wont be seeing her again live (best on-stage meltdown ever a few years ago). New Placebo is a pretty decent track - got it's first run on Triple J this morning called 'Song to Say Goodbye' (new album really is called 'Meds' though - what were they thinking? Michael Stipe is also on the album).

What else is there about?

lol CIG.

Anticipation is at fever pitch for the Danger Mouse/Cee-Lo collaboration, entitled Gnarls Barkley. Check out the sneak-peek track 'Crazy' and you'll be omg-ing all over the place. It's not even hip-hop, really - Cee-Lo is in Al Green mode and he's on fire.

Leave your gobsh*te nu-metal to the other thread you wrecked.

Yep.

And do you ever know what you're talking about?

Or are you just that ignorant about everything?

What happened? I'm tempted to go when she next comes, but have heard about her chronic stage fright so I'm as yet undecided.
Well...I saw her at the Metro in 2004, and things were going all pretty well until she had one of her infamous panic attacks on stage. She first hid behind a guitar on the ground which the crowd eventually talked her out of hiding behind. She played a few more songs which didn't go all that well and then hid behind her piano. There may have been a few more songs after that but I left after a few more minutes of hiding.

Tremendous theatre, but to charge $50 for a concert that you can't get through...

Wow, that's probably worse than most of the stories i've read about her.

I think I would take the plunge anyway. Worst that can happens is I lose my dough. Most peopel i've spoken to have said it's worth seeing chan just to wonder what she'll end up doing.

I know what I am talking about, and it's not a case or being ignorant or not. Staind are hopeless.
