Good work Sticky

In terms of Farah he really needed a good couple of series in the starting 9 blues jumper but never got it because he never really grabbed the opportunity in the first place.

Blues are always looking for a quick fix and Farah (or anyone else) wasnt the answer.

Well it seems the chances of Farah being the last man standing are increasing by the minute...

They'll probably pick Hinchcliffe or pull Alan Tongue out of retirement just to spite Sheens.

Reality is that sticky has his agenda and thus Farah isn't a hope in gods green earth of getting a jersey. Also, the Sharks have benefited from the departure of Stuart, Nsw should take note

Thread Drift.............and might need a new thread of it's own soon ;-)

I have never thought much of Stick as a coach and he picked up what Gould left him and then went down hill from there, same at Cronulla and as 'leoc' said,
the Sharks have benefited from the departure of Stuart
he is one guiy that the Tigers do not need when Sheens is retired.

But, when you look at what Flanagan has done at Cronulla, Griffin at the Bronco's, Price at St George, do the Tigers have an understudy that could do the job ? Plenty don't make it, like at the Eels but before the guys above look at Bellyache and what he achieved since moving on from the Bronco's.

Would Jones at the Tigers be that surprise packet?

Anyway my point, glad the Tigers never signed Stuart.

Does anyone here honestly believe on present form that Farah is the best NSW born hooker in the game?

I mean - recent form.

With Gidley, Buderus and Ennis all injured (to different extents) now will Sticky still overlook Robbie or pick him. I'm half expecting him to pick Hinchcliffe with Johnny Morris off the bench, just to stick it up Sheens.

In present health, Farah is the best option lol

I wouldn't be surprised now if Lawrence plays origin too with Jennings out.

Geez, if Lawrence gets a run, the Blues are in all sorts...

Has been worse than ordinary since the injury he got against the Dragons at the SFS last year...

I wonder if he will ever get back to his best?

he played very well on the weekend, his best game this year by a mile.

He still has a ways to go, but I can live with Lawrence playing at that level as a minimum from now on in.

I thought he was ordinary again.

He has barely played a decent game for us all year. His best match was in CvC.

I thought he looked very solid actually. Made 100 metres for the first time this year so his work rate was a lot higher than it has been. Defensively was better, albeit with a bad misread on Sio's try where he rushed out to pressure Hayne, who didn't get the ball - I think you can live with a read like that as Hayne would get the ball 4 times out of 5 in that situation. Still a lot of improvement left though.

It was a solid performance by Lawerence, looks like he is on the improve which is good for us because Reddy's performance went from solid to s##t real quick with his lack of pace, poor ball control and rubbish
defence.Parra got young Ryan while we got Reddy i know who got the better deal..!

Lawrence was faster on his feet too. He also ran some good lines angles, especially as a decoy.

Definitely improved

Reddy will be a good signing,he was getting away some nice passes, pity Sheen's moves him all over the park every week, just leave him at right centre Tim,and watch him improve.Don't move him to left centre, fullback, right wing or any other spot you feel the urge to plug, try moving our fullback first,he is a liability.

I don't understand all this sudden concern about Farah's defence.
Ennis got stood up - embarrassingly so - by a 150kg George Rose last weekend with the game on the line.
It seems the media creates strawman after strawman to justify the selection of their chosen one.
That's not even mentioning his mention indiscretions in previous SOO games which seem to have been brushed under the carpet.

Farah is easily NSW most creative hooker, unfortunately his average game whilst playing injured is being held against him.
Annoyed that Bob Fulton is STILL a selector - should have moved on decades ago.

This is what I find the most bizarre about all of this... Farah's apparently had his book stamped 'never to play again' because he played injured - yet both Buderus and Ennis have retained their preferred status notwithstanding their form-affecting injuries. Question for Ricky Stuart - if Ennis plays and his groin gives him curry and affects his game, will he be scrapped forever?
