Our prayers have been answered...

Begs the question as to what is really going on at Red Hill though. Either we've got some big plans ahead and perhaps some signings that haven't yet been announced or things are happening behind the scenes there and players just want out, however they can find a way...

Hunt now needs to stay permanently in the halves. If Prince comes back fit, Wallace needs to be dropped to Qld Cup. Whatever plans or schemes may be afoot at Red Hill, it seems likely Prince and Hunt will be our halves pairing next year at least and Hunt needs as much exposure to NRL in the halves as he can get. Playing him as a part-time Hooker will do us no good at all next year.

Wallace dropped will also pave the way for Granville or Baptiste to get a more regular run from the bench.

All good things, in my book. We free up cap space and have better cattle in the team in the meantime... :D

2 halves leaving. And probably your best 2 in the in. Wallace probably just needs a change of location. Gone stale

I'm happy to see him go, but they definitely need someone to replace him before making any decisions. If there is any truth to this, a couple of very interesting weeks are ahead.

I've been calling for him to be released since 2010.

He's had more career worst form patches than purple patches.

So looks like we have the wooden spoon locked up for next year. A has been and a guy who has not much in the 6 & 7. A guy who can't play 80 mins at hooker. A centre that is falling apart. The only thing we have that is good is our forwards.

You guys have no idea how good this news actually is, there is no way on EARTH Hook would be leaving us with Prince and Hunt as our 2 halves for next season, we've got Sam Williams or Shaun Johnson, 100%

I'm torn about Hoffman being moved back to fullback once Norman leaves. I just hope he's learned a thing or two about ball playing by watching Norman. He's tearing it up on the wing though.

This x 1000000000%.

This is literally the best news we could get as far as our playing roster goes. It frees up massive cap space, gives Hunt a permanent shot in the #7, and as has been mentioned, probably gives Granville/Baptiste (specialist hookers) more time replacing Macca (could even use Macca as a second rower like we did against the Titans the other night).

No doubt we've got someone signed already I would say. Brisbane would have fought for Wallace if we didn't have someone signed already. I hope to shit it's Johnson. He looks so unhappy at the Warriors, but has so much potential and so much speed to burn. Him and Hunt would make a killer halves combination don't you think?

If Hunt and Johnson were our Halves for the next 10 years, I'd be a happy man, and we'd probably have a few premierships.

Goodbye to the comps slowest most predictable halfback. Wallace is really a hooker pretending to be a half. Sure his defence is good but his attacking and organising abilities were woeful.

For those who disagree let me explain the Wallace "attacking plays".

1/ When not in the oppositions quarter drift sideways with the ball and pick up a forward close to the line who then gets crunched by the defence because they all know that Wallace will pass as he is too slow to take on the line.

2/ When attacking the oppositions try line hang around in back play to the fifth tackle then kick a cross field bomb to the corner of the in goal...

Good luck at Penrith mate you will need it!

This is the right call as long as we are about to announce a good signing. Wallace would always give 100% but at the end of the day lacks speed and creativity to ever be a quality half.

But I think we need someone other than prince to partner hunt.

I always heard a rumour that Luke Capewell was heading to Penrith. Not sure if that's been confirmed. So that would leave us with only two halves of any note - Prince and Hunt. The next option in our existing squad is Cameron Cullen who's currently coming off the bench for Under 20s.

Make you wonder what's going on and if there's any direction after we made the BIG announcement that we were on the market for a playmaker and it came to nothing (seemingly).

Shaun Johnson was benched last night. Something's going on there - a young man in the valley of decision (one can only hope).

Sam Williams may also be a possibility with Campese back for Canberra.

I know there are many here who AREN'T Wallace fans, but let's not forget he did force his way in the NSW team at one stage. He played his best football with Darren Lockyer calling the shots and him in support. He is NOT a key playmaker and was starting to play well alongside Prince.

Agree he should be a No. 9 - and in fact could be a very good No. 9 given his defence and willingness to go to the line and get smashed before passing.

It's gotta be Shaun Johnson.

1.) He's unhappy at the Warriors
2.) Warriors are losing
3.) He got benched last night
4.) We have 2 NZ International players the current NZ coach at our club
5.) We have a boatload of cash
