I remember seeing Simon & Garfunkel play at the Sports Ground circa 1980... :sarcasm:.

I saw AC/DC next door at the Showground. Hells Bells tour 1980. Supported by The Angels and Swanee. It was rained out 2/3 times before we got to see them.

Also saw The Police at the Showground around the same time. Pretty sure it was around Zenyatta Mondatta.

Would have loved to have been at that concert. I was a bit young.

The Angels were my favourite band growing up.

On acdc, I have a Gibson sg signed by angus. I won it at the Strand Megastore on George St back in 1987 or so. I was there for the release of blow up your video.

My son (13) would love that SG. If you ever want to sell, let me know.

Yesterday he was shaking the house on his Les Paul playing Back in Black.

I can't find my 1975 records, but from a fading memory - Parramatta defeated Manly 11-7 with Parra's eleven points coming from a John Vincent try and four goals by Dave Cotter.

I loved watching games at the Sports Ground and have some very fond memories of some great wins there.
One a 5-2 victory over St George, with Mike Jackson the try scorer in the corner. Can recall it like it was yesterday.

One thing I have been blessed with is a good memory - not short term stuff, but stuff that happened during my teenage years....

Re the No 2 SCG, Doug Walters once hit a six out of the ground that landed in the Moore Park car park.
Biggggggg hit that...
