Gould still thinks we will get the spoon.

I said: "Just about every senior player coming off contract (plus the coach) walked off to greener pastures. What does it mean? I don't know yet but surely it can't be good."

I tipped them to finish last but they have done much better than I expected. I congratulate them.
Status: I still think they will get the wooden spoon

It is still possible but i think we would have to lose probably 6 of our last 7 to get it. Our for and against is far better than the teams below us. Considering how pathetic the panthers and roosters are he is pretty hell bent on seeing us get it.

I, myself, has twice been the recipient of Bee sting to the head. And let me tell you, it friggin' hurts.

Forget Goose Gould. He thinks he knows everything!

Just because Gasnier is back for Dragons and Penrith ass kicking Bulldogs his mind believes they're on the move.
It's still Easts and Penrith for spoon for me.

I've looked at the Raiders home-run and I think they'll definately beat Worriors.
As for the others....pretty hard games.
They'll be some upsets but wooden spooners? no way.

Tough ask against MLB this week though.

Put Goose Gould on your ignore list....guy's an F-wit.

He's pound for pound ranked among the top 10 F-wits in that category.

He has agendas. Why would he tip Penrith when they're on Channel 9 every other weekend, or the Roosters who he has a vested interest in?

Speak the truth, man.

There's no way he'd speak out against Easts!

The Goosters are my specials for spoon only if Penrith can keep producing games like they did last week against Bulldogs.

Easts got lucky even though I was cheering them on.

How bias is Gould for Easts?
He's got his tongue shoved so far down Freddy's ear it ain't funny.

They probably give each other hot rub downs after the match using Goanna oil and exploding hot ice.

Gus Gould looks more like a wild Turkey than a bee sting head.

If we beat Penrith at home and they also lose this round they'd have to win at least 4 MORE games than us in the remaining 5 rounds for them to overtake us. I also think the Titans are in with a real shot for the spoon if they get thumped again tonight.

After our 4 loss streak we're certainly not out of the race in such a tight comp, however the key point is that Phil Gould is a knob and I hope Easts and Penrith share the title.

There's one tiny thing everybody's forgetting.

The comp is so congested that a bottom ranked team can win two straight games and they'll be relegated up to 5th or 6th overnight so I think it's still a little too early calling wooden spoon really.

It's gonna be a tight finish so let's wait till the last 2 rounds before actually calling it.

Titans won't finish last, Canberra won't finish last!

The 3 teams for that are Dragons Easts and Penrith.

Gasnier has rushed his return and will re-injure himself before the season's out.
And last Sunday's game against the Worriors was dreadful for The Dragons.
You wait and see Gasnier injured again.

They're not properly healing themselves when they do get injured.

Take Weyman for example...I swear I've seen him bust his legs every game I've watched him in lately yet he returns so quickly.

If you're truly injured then heal properly.

These must be the pressures of playing today. Plat at all costs and if you're injured hurry up.
Blinky Bill was season ending injured yet he rushed back so don't give me that burn-out theory bullsh*t because the players are most likely being black-mailed to return earlier than expected.
Later on in life they'll regret it though.

P.S. Benji Marshall wants to return soon as well. He's not ready. He'll get injured again. So much for his body suit protecting you against this sh*t.
Get your body into a Benji today. What's a Benji? It's something Michael Jackson sung about I think.

It'll get a bit scary if we lose to Penrith this Friday night - 2 points off the bottom with 5 to play - but you'd think we will win a couple of home games in the run home, Sharks in the final round should be a victory too.

Yeah it's vital that we get the two points off the Panthers on friday night.
The game is what they refer to in English Football as a 'six pointer' (only in our case it's only worth four).
I am not at all confident though.

A win will see us 6 points clear, and pretty much guarantee Penrith the spoon. Also, before this game we're +51 ahead of them on for/against, and any winning margin will be doubled between the two sides.

The sharks are on the same points as us and looking at there run home i can't see them winning more than 1 game.

Why doesn't Gus come back out and coach an NRL team such as the Roosters or the Panthers. I don't think he will coach one of those teams as they don't have all the big name stars that he likes to coach. He would coach the Storm or the Sea Eagles because they have a chance of winning the premiership.

The Raiders definitely were not playing like a team that wanted the wooden spoon on Friday night.

The Panthers, however, looked like they had it draped around their necks.

It is honestly all ours. What a dubious, but well deserved honour.
