as a supporter of a club whose coach walked out right in the middle of a low-water mark year from hell (ok we came good under JT but at the time it looked like spoonsville for us) i feel for you guys penrith has always been one of my favourite clubs i cheered when you won in '03 and to see gowie abandon you like smith abandoned us is upsetting especially when there is no backup in sight i think times like this define a club and if the team can overcome this then they will be stronger and better for it

Smith leaving Eels worked out. Pity JT didn't get signed to stay on.
Gower leaving us will work out. He was one of our weaker players, and highest paid. As much as i respect the bloke, i think him leaving works out best for everyone.

So far Gower has not abandoned us. From all reports thus far that I have read, he will remain at Penrith to the end of the season. It's no different from any other player who has signed a contract with another club for the next season.

Gowie will play with his heart on his sleeve, like he always does.

Dont get me wrong, Gowers a goose, and most of his reputation is his own self doing,

but having said that the amount of media attention the bloke recieves is totally ridiculous. Has anyone read todays tele. On the front and back page, as well as a full page in the sport section. How stupid?? You would get less attention if you went out and killed 3 people for no reason.

Amanda confirmed today that they aren't leaving until the end of the season.....Gowie isn't abandoning anyone....

Amanda> gone too>that is the real tragedy. :p

Seriously, for Craig and Amanda's sake I hope they settle in exotic France and try to start a family.

For Craig's sake, hopefully Amanda doesn't fall to easily and he has to keep trying, trying, trying.............:)

Geez, where have you been all this time.

This forum really could do with someone of your intellect.

The FBI profile team in Quantico, Virginia could really benefit from speaking to you in advance before you massacre innocent people in a public place.

Thanks for that Skeep and thoughts you'd like to pass on about McCrone?

He's a good player with plenty of potential. Was our Jersey Flegg (or was it SG Ball?) player of the year last season. Realistically though he's behind Carney, Dobson, Campese and Herbert at the Raiders in terms of current talent and potential.

The loss of Craig Gower is the biggest loss Penrith have ever had i believe.I am getting sick of Rugby Yawnion taking our players the NRL have lost Schivoski,Ryan Cross and now Gower we have got to start signing our players instead of letting them leave to Union
