Shhhhhh...you dont know what you are talking about.
Lockyer has played 5 games at 5/8 for QLD with 2 wins and 3 losses.

I'm talking about series wins with Lockyer in the team anywhere.

Finch called into NSW Origin side

May 23, 2006 - 9:44AM

Sydney Roosters halfback Brett Finch has been called into the NSW State of Origin squad to replace the injured Craig Gower.
Finch received the call up for Wednesday night's series opener at Telstra Stadium after Gower suffered knee cartilage damage after colliding with teammate Steve Menzies during the side's final training run on Tuesday afternoon.
The match will be only Finch's second in the sky blue jersey following his previous match for NSW in 2004.
Earlier, Andrew Johns turned down a plea to make a return to Origin football in Gower's place.
In a further injury development, back-up hooker Luke Priddis will suit up and participate in the NSW side's warm-up just in case Danny Buderus is a late scratching for the match.
Buderus is still in doubt with a lower back injury, with coach Graham Murray prepared to give the Knights hooker until just before kick-off to prove his fitness.
"We'll give him till the last minute and if that means that Luke Lewis and Luke Priddis get warmed up with us and we had to make a change because he's in a bit of discomfort, we'd do it then," Murray said.
"Definitely, (Priddis) will be part of the warm-up squad and part of the team for tomorrow, for sure.
"There's also a logistic thing there with (naming the side) an hour before (kick-off), so we'll abide by all the rules."
Buderus, who will continue to work with physiotherapist Liz Street in an attempt to relieve the back spasms, said he was hopeful of running out to face the Maroons.
"There's pain there, I know what sort of pain there is to play in Origin, it's the most physical game you can play so I won't go out there half-hearted," he said.
"I had an injury a couple of years ago and it's a different one ... I've never had a back injury like this."
Lewis is on standby for Eels centre Timana Tahu, who has been struggling with a stomach virus but is expected to play.
"He's fine, he did a little bit (of training) this morning," Murray said.
"He experienced some discomfort yesterday and he's fine today."
The Maroons are expected to make some late adjustments to their line-up, with Steve Bell to shift from the wing to the centres in a swap with Brent Tate. Murray is also preparing for enforcer Carl Webb to come into the starting side.
"I think he might (start) - I would," Murray said.
The match is unlikely to be a sellout, with 12,000 tickets still available.

Didn't Mortimer win 2 of the 3 or 4 series he was a part of?

to be honest i have no idea, just making a point that series wins has no relevance on the calibre of player Darren Lockyer is... perhaps a better example is no team containing ET, ever won a premiership... he must of been a myth too!

But only 2 won Saab.

Queensland wont be breaking the Telstra hoodoo anytime soon. Our entire team bar halves is better than the queensland side, so hopefully can overcome that. Finchy, well, he simply hasnt been playing nearly as crap lately. I woulda gone orford above him for sure but seriously, Kimmorley has done f**k all in origin. Blues to win

Charlie, you predicted wueensland last year...And the year before that...And the year before that:)

Lockyer has never done much at origin level i dontthink, he plays much better in the green and gold than the sh*t colourd jersey. When it comes to origin fullbacks Timmy Brasher was the man - absolutely top fullback and outplayed Lockyer at origin level.

Finally GodzIlla, i'm sure Steve Waugh would do a great job for the mighty blues. He may be 41 and a cricketer but he is the f**ken man :D

Once Johns turned them down, they should have tried to get Barrett. Finch getting picked is an absolute nightmare - glad I didn't bet on this game early.

NSW have never had such an avg set oh halvees before...but its ok....its "only" the halves. They only do all the kicking and passing out to the backs.
Yeah Anasta and Finch have been on fire in 2006 havent they.
Finch wanted people to kiss his butt some 4 weeks back....he better have a blinder tomorrow night as he will have 80k wanting to kick his.

I am not over the moon that its Finch in the job, I would have thought Orford should have got it, should have bloody got it over Gower to start with.
Its a pity that he is injured.
But let me say this, I am ecstatic that Gower will not be there tomorrow night, he is USELESS !!! and I am sick of this over rated hack getting picked for rep games. I was almost this excited when I knew Ryles would not be there

Well considering they only played 5 games vs each other then you sure make a good case
Lockyer won a series and Brasher won a series.

Being a Queenslander, i love all this! The series is ours!!!

However, im much more worried about this:

The match is unlikely to be a sellout, with 12,000 tickets still available.

That is appaling. How could NSW, RL premier state in our biggest game not sellout? On top of that the rain will probably scare some people away as well! I remeber reading before about QLD's love of RL and how there games always sell out. Again this is proof! C'mon Sydney!!!

there ya go... origin myth aye RABK?

Not fit to comment on Turvey's Origin career. But i am on Lokcyer and he is an Origin myth, he is an excellent player but has rarely produced at this level - which is the pinnacle of our game.

Myth indeed Raider.
