Gower out. Kimmorley in.

Gower snapped his medial ligament and will miss 4-6 weeks. Assuming Gould doesn't put Wing or Finch at half, this means we'll be going to Canberra sans Noddy. Any thoughts?

BTW the obvious absense of Mason could mean we're without Stevo as well...

Canberra have slid quite a bit from last year so I reckon we could still take them apart with Sully at half. :)

It also means we'll be without him for the Newcastle away game. Which is worse...

Sully will go fine at half. He knows the plays and loves running at the defence. We will take cannberra.

Don't be surprised if Gould doesn't use his 18th Man and new pet K.Gidley.

Hope this happens personally. Would love to go to marathon with a fired up Noddy and no Kurt Gidley in a couple of weeks. (Love beating the noughts)

They would also be without Gidley..
I would be happy for Kimmorley's sake that he made it in to the NSW side, but i dont like our chances of beating either the Raiders or the Knights without him.. So in one way i hope he doesnt get picked..

gould will have no problem using noddy

after gowers flat performance last night i dont think he will mind gower being injured so he can put a proper playmaker in at half and gower being injured he gets to save face

Well I hope BK does get picked.

This will force Raper to play Sully in the halves and not @ hooker.
I am hoping the penny will drop

It would certainly be very ironic to see Noddy dominate games 2 and 3, thereby proving that Gould is an idiot in his last two games as coach

I would love to see Noddy picked for origin and have a blinder just to prove how much of an idiot Gould is.

But, if he is not picked I will feel more confident about our chances against Raiders and Knights. I'm with Mr Angry though, if Noddy is out then sullivan should get a start

Cronulla captain Brett Kimmorley is in line to win a recall to the NSW side for the second State of Origin game as Craig Gower contemplates more than a month out of rugby league with a knee injury.

Gower paid a hefty personal price for NSW's golden point victory in Origin I at Telstra Stadium last night, damaging the medial ligament in his right knee during the second half of the Blues' dramatic 9-8 victory over Queensland.

He could miss up to six weeks of football, which would rule him out of the two remaining Origin matches.

The Blues have plenty of options in his absence, with former NSW and Test No.7 Kimmorley the first choice.

The other alternative is Melbourne half Matt Orford.

Oh yeah, I forgot about Ox...

So basically the options for Bee-sting Head to keep Noddy out are Orford, Finch and Wing. What are the odds?

I think its hard to overlook Kimmorley's form of the last month and a bit. He has been the form half IMO and has robbed of a spot in a blues jumper.

Stevens should have been in that squad, instead of Kite at least, and hopefully Mason will get the boot and SKandalis will get a spot. ;-)

Mason played pretty well last night, especially considering the pressure he was under

Maybe, but his form leading up to the game wasn't better than Stevens'. I think Stevo would have done a better job.
