Graham or Fifita would be our biggest losses and now we have to find a way to win missing one of our two most important players.

Most teams would be next to no chance, but we rely less on individuals than most teams.

We dominated territory and created plenty of chances against the Roosters after Graham left the field. The lack of execution wasn't because he was off.

We will be fine without him if we play like that but make the most of our opportunities.

Hope the poor bugger enjoys a restful off season with his new bub and comes back next year refreshed and hungry (and unfit, but will pick it up in the season).

Flanno took gamble he stays on field we actually win i believe, then he gets the rest of another 2 weeks.

Most teams in finals will have players out there who basically shouldnt but need to roll dice
Flanno rolled the dice weeks out, and lost.

Still would have been gambling, but should have rested him 3 weeks ago for this game.

Anyways we need plan B now, hopefully Capewell's nuts are good.

It’s a completely different injury. No one goes into a game with a “minor ACL” and injures it more.

Seriously staying in the field stake? Cmon man

Looks to me that our famous injury management has failed in this case.

If he only had a Grade 1 medial 6 weeks ago why was he constantly rushed back into the side. That medial strappin he had on last night indicated more rhan a gde 1 IMO and why didn’t he have prophylactic ACL strapping for an at risk knee. He’s now done a non contact ACL, which happens, but usually only in an already compromised joint.

Where is the LUSharksPhysio? Shaggy?
Here I am.

Ok here is my take.
The grade 1 medial is a 1-2 week injury at most. The pain isn’t too bad and settles quickly.
If wade felt as though his knee was stable during training I can’t see why he wouldn’t have played with the strapping.

From my experience the strapping does some good, but in reality it’s for the players mental well-being. The number of blokes I strapped shoulders or knees on, for no good reason except it’s what they always had done was high.

As we all know ACL tears are random and can occur with in the most innocuous moments.
I have read some things that suggest that the incidence is higher when the player has been bumped in the air and this affects the weight distribution upon landing.
In wades case, Issac Liu I think bumps him in the line and causes a change in weight distribution. As wade plants his foot, the ligament gave out.

As for prior injury, I’m not convinced. However, did the past 6 weeks of running with a limp or differently load the ligament? Maybe.
In the NFL, a player from the 49ers, just did his ACL, during a non contact run through, by simply changing direction. He had been out for a couple of weeks with a calf strain. Most are blaming that injury. The player said his calf was 100%.

Frenzy, the medial shouldn’t have an effect on the stability of the ACL. The acl prevents forward movement of the femur and rotation of the femur on tibia.
The MCL is for valgus flexing of the knee joint.

Wade landed on the ground, fixed tibia position and body weight continued to push the femur forward.
Bamm and the ACL is gone

Free. For him.

My last hip replacement was $54,000. Just the parts

And I complained about robotic prostate surgery $18,000.I should remain humble.
Didn't lose balls ,just the referee.

Sheesh that hip of yours must be titanium with argyle diamonds thrown in ,for colour.

Normal materials but was custom made in the States due to having had too many previous surgeries. It’s a Zimmer leg lengthening, anti rotational, hook plate with cadaver grafts to be nearly precise. 8 hours to get the old out and the new in. All through a 3 inch cut.

I agree with this clinical assessment.

Sounds like a lot of fun, not.As long as Dr Hook had steady hands for 8 hours ,that's all that counts.

Should of done what they do to racehorses. Put a screen around yuh and shot yuh.

How munch is a good sized bullet these days.

They want to wack a new shoulder in me but I am not so keen. Might get it done one day using Reefy and Surles tax payments.

As much as I like Wade, between his injuries and concussions he is starting to become a liability. With the team is constantly being disrupted on that left edge it's near impossible to put in consistent performances.

To be fair he hasn't missed much time on the paddock in any of his previous seasons with us.

Over the past 7 years (excluding this year) he's averaged 23 (22.7 but rounded up) games a year.

Not bad for someone who plays 80 minutes most weeks.

Also to be fair, some of those games that have him as a starter he hasn't finished. Semi 2016 was 7 mins, last Saturday was 13 mins.and there are several others.

What are you suggesting Wozza?

One injury riddled season in 9 isn't bad going. He is in the top 3 most influential players in the squad but injuries are part if the game and good teams adapt.

Lets just say it's a season Wadeo would want to put behind him. Not the best in all aspects but hopefully he will be fit and firing for 2019.
