Is it just me or do the eels look much more relaxed then melborune. They seem to be enjoying it and soaking it all in. In 2001 you could tell at the grand final breakfast that parra were no chance.

We actually look nervous but the laughs are coming from the excitement. This is much better than being tense. You can use nerves, can't use tenseness.

Melbourne on the other hand look like they're trying to put on the professional, we've done this before face, which in my mind means they're thinking a lot about the game and their appearance. This could lead to them tensing up later. You don't play finals in advance, you play them one moment at a time

I'm walking around with that scene from "A League of Their Own" stuck in my head, when the star catcher comes back for the final game and Tom Hanks starts saying "we're gonna win, we're gonna WIN, WE'RE GONNA WIN", and then throws the glove at the fat little disbeliever and hits him square in the face.

Translation - was confident, but am ultra confident now after seeing all that.

totally agree, i was trying to find the word other than nervous and tense is it. 2001 we looked uptight and tense

if ur nervous it means ur ready to play....melbourne r looking all professional and weve been here before and actually starting to seem like they are thinking about the gf losses they have had in 06 and 08. i think they will be tense come saturday arvo and sunday morning.

will be interesting to see how smith and cayless r tonight on the gf footy show though
