I think we should go with Roy and HG's suggestion of The Seekers. The kiddies will go wild over Judith Durham and Athol Guy.

With support from special guests the Whitlams.

I reckon they should drag out IBM for the GF entertainment. He can sing a cover of "Who Are You" by The Who and they can hang a giant portrait of Jason Smith behind the stage. The crowd can participate by yelling back "never heard of the f***er".

Why not an ode to the grub players in the game, where they line up on stage behind AC/DC who sing"Dirty deeds done dirt cheap""

Get all the Headline acts of 2016: Pearce, Norman, Foran, Fifita, Hayne, Roberts, Ennis, taumololo, vatuvei and those other kiwis.

Form a circle around Greenberg, hold hands and sing "please forgive me, I know not what I do..."

Killing Time

The Hard Ons
Indecent Obsession

The Hard Ons would kill it. They are still gigging, they shred on 99% of current bands and considering that they are driving taxis, delivering mail and working in record stores to earn a living, they could use the money a hell of a lot more than someone like Keith Urban. They are all Dogs supporters too and know about Rugby League.

0% chance of happening, 100% chance of being completely awesome.

Who wrote that Mila Kunis/Scarlett Jo half time entertainment post?
I think of that every time GF entertainment gets brought up.

We must have run out of ideas if we're dragging out ol Keef.

Unless we can get tina turner again just do away with the music, get the t-shirt cannon out, a mascot race, then get on with it!

Flame Trees? Bow River? Flame Trees... anything after Circus Animals doesn't really count (IMHO) and only did so-so, anyway. Bow River? Not a single, not a hit and is interesting, but not all that or anything. But that's cool. Thanks for the reminder. I only remembered Khe Sahn and a bunch of new crap.

I'm not having a go but, they didn't play anything else except those songs. You're obviously a Chisel connoisseur (ie you like their old stuff better than their newer stuff) but surely you'd've remembered two of their most famous songs if you heard them?

Okay, maybe I am having a go.

I could handle Mila Kunis and Natalie Portman reenacting their scene from Black Swan.

yeah id be pretty confident Flame Trees would be their most popular/known song after Khe Sahn.

dont really know why they were referred to as 'newer stuff' when both songs are over 30 years old
