Eddie Vedder is a massive baseball fan, but yeah, as I said above, it would surprise me if they did it.

They are all massive sport fans and have quite a few songs that lend themselves to sport. There is absolutely no chance that they will be playing the Grand Final as they are currently taking a 12 month break after their recent induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Pearl Jam is the best live band I have ever seen and would do a great show at the NRL grand final, just wont happen. In saying that I will be purchasing Grand Final tickets just in case lol.

The other band I think would be great would be The Dropkick Murphys, though the AFL kinda beat the NRL to that as they were used for an AFL ad years ago.

Pearl Jam would be a huge get for the NRL, they're still extremely good live. I can't see it happening.

I saw them all.
Yep
Golden era

I did too, the Nirvana set at the 1st Big Day out was amazing and nearly killed a 14 year old me lol. Best concert moment I have had is seeing Chris Cornell walk out at a Pearl Jam gig to complete a Temple of the Dog reunion. Hungerstrike live was just amazing.

Apparently pearl jam will be flying in a special guest from leeds in the UK who is 34

She will be performing a special rendition of don't call me daughter to a back drop of an image of the kangaroos coach

Good to see the NRL support the Aussie music industry...

By and large, Aussie music is asinine and derivative of better stuff going on elsewhere. I'd rather have the best available acts (not that I care really).

On the other hand, can we bring back the f**king Rogue Traders one more time pretty please

Angus Young from ACDC is a 'Sydney boy' He lived 'here' for 40 years. Wonder if he has a Team. Started off at Villawood migrant (detention) centre, and said Sydney western suburbs were Rock and Roll Ready.
I used to lived their. Easy access to Libcombe, Parra and Belmore, NRL heaven then.

TNT, Dirty Deeds, Highway to Hell, finishing with Thunderf**k

Acca Dacca have never really done the "sport" thing either.

I seem to have a vague memory of an old band photo with someone wearing a Balmain Tigers jersey however.

2005 when the mighty Tigers finally got home. I was there and went to the bar during the pre-game, from memory Pete Murray played as well.

Bloody hell, the have already had 2 digs then!

They were part of the "entertainment" at the 2008 GF too I am sure.
