I just imagine the stereotypical sports fan in Australia is the type that listens or grew up listening to Triple M, so Pearl Jam would be an awesome get. Even Flow, Alive, Better Man, Jeremy, Last Kiss still get flogged to this day.

The Killers are in a similar demographic, albeit only for their debut album. They're a surprisingly good live band, but if they stray from anything after 'When You Were Young' they're going to be in big trouble. I can see them playing their latest single which is supposed to be ironically vain.

As for Joy Division, if you watched Donnie Darko you'd know who they are. Otherwise, just ask your missus, chances are she watched 13 Reasons Why and they flogged them to death on there.

Pearl Jam are probably my least liked band from the Seattle era but still put out some good songs.

Joy Division were a very dark English band from the late 1970s to 1980 until vocalist Ian Curtis topped himself. Then the remaining members morphed into New Order. Songs such as Transmission, She's Lost Control, Atmosphere and Love Will Tear Us Apart are my most memorable favourites.

In my opinion, The Who are the most overrated band of the last 50 odd years (with the exception of Cold Chisel - I can hear the feathers being ruffled from here). Of the English bands of their time, The Who wouldn't rate in my Top 50.

They're a quality band, of all the one hit wonders and mediocre bands that get air-play on Triple M, they're by far one of the best groups on the station.

The only reason Pearl Jam fell off the radar of some was because they stopped making music videos after Ten.
Then they stopped touring at venues supported by Ticketmaster.
They chose not to sell out (in their eyes) and paid the price comercially.
Their music is still bloody great.
