How will the games before the NRL GF be ranked..??

Will NSW Cup be first, then Toyota Cup, or the other way round...??

In old school terms waaaaay back in 2007 speak cause i havnt been bothered learning who is nsw cup and toyota cup: I have spoken to some of the premier league boys in Manly and im sure there feelings are the same across every team in the nrl, but they are getting completley dogged this year. I cant for the life of me understand why they didnt make premier league games go to air which im pretty sure most of us would rather watch.

Not only that but there are more players making there nrl debut from jersey flegg than premier league, its just all ridiculous if you ask me. All these guys in jersey flegg work there asses off to get to premier league and now those guys miss out on air time and have to play infront of about 3 fans.

well I'm enjoying the Toyota Cup being on Fox but really it has been the same teams all the time, Bulldogs and Warriors have been on heaps, Parra only once and I don't think Souths have been on at all.

make a new opens comp that has 16 teams (one from each club), get it sponsored and have a seperate salary cap for it. Thats the only solution i can think of to make the open level players (nsw cup etc.) happy.

Thats truly disgraceful and so is a night grand final. I miss the days of the daytime grand final so you could watch all 3 grades. Reserve Grade GF's is all we could win back then so theyve always been a fond memory

negative on that option, unless current feeder clubs arrangement stuck. Would be the end of my club otherwise.

GF is at 5 pm this year, effectively 4pm due to daylight saving starting early.

And NSW cup is the weekend before the Grand Final im pretty sure (well according to the much better informed people on the newtown board)

Only 2 games on GF day? Thats sucks, I loved sitting in all day and watching games.

Remember the Penrith year (2003?) didnt they have 4 or 5 games including the Jim Beam or something similar? That was great.

I've been told that the NSW Cup GF will be at Parra Stadium the week before the NRL as a stand alone game.... How f*cked is that...

So it seems that on GF day it'll just be the U20's and the 1st grade....

Toyota Cup is the next best from the NRL according to the NRL. Toyota Cup is the stars of the future, the comp with more money poured into it. NSW Cup just doesnt rate, played on park football grounds at times.

It's pretty much only played at park football grounds. I don't recall there being any SFS or ANZ matches in the draw, not even Parramatta Stadium.

Given it is GF day for the National Rugby League, why should the NSW State Cup GF be on that day? It's simply not the NSWL anymore.


What would be fantastic is to have the two state GF's the week before (New South & Redneckville) and have the two premiership teams play off on GF day as the opening game, then have the TC GF, then the NRL GF.

Fantastic idea, the sunday roast (or sunday footy show) were asking for punters ideas, you should email that in.

There has to be more than just 20's and FG on GF day.

Why must such a great day be constantly fugged around with!
