I think the Koori knockout is on at Leichhardt across the weekend again

Clover has no interest in promoting RL

So you will find very little on

But I would recommend watching a live match at Star City casino sports bar

Unfortunately not getting in until Friday. Given majority of fans like myself are likely to be travelling in Friday or sat morning its surprising there is nothing going on in the city area on the Saturday? Could have a big NRL GF party event going on Sat night at Darling harbour or Opera House area or similar?
Entry to Epsom Day is included in your GF ticket.

Kenty blew up on nrl360 about how poor the "hype" is around GF week in Sydney.

Yes. PR he did. Kent has come up with some pro rugby league comments over recent times. Shame he hasn't really mentioned much about the World Cup though.
From what he informed simple publicity efforts like having the competing GF clubs flags up over the two main bridges would have been appropriate. Looks like the NRL hasn't thought about this once again. Its the grand final. Out of town clubs or Sydney clubs , it should be given decent visible publicity.

79,607 is the lowest GF crowd at Homebush in 2006 , for Storm V Broncos
I think we might give that a scare on Sunday unfortunately

I predict a very big crowd at Randwick racecourse on Saturday. Mostly attributed to the complimentary Grandfinal deal. On this, it would be good if the NRL made a bit of a theme day at Randwick with maybe a race featuring jockeys wearing club jumpers/colours . And a race named after the grandfinal teams would be appropriate . Thats what I call effective and positive exposure .

Pretty hard to care about this years grand final to be honest.

Both teams have won recently. Have small supporter bases and are interstate sides. Cant expect a huge crowd with expensive ticket prices for teams that very few car about.

How about a race where the prop piggybacks the halfback around the course?

I'm pretty sure both have fairly big supporter bases.

The Cowboys might even be no.2 behind the Broncos.

They have huge support up here.

I don't blame anyone who can't afford to spend 2k per person to make it down to watch the GF when it's hard enough making ends meet for the family these days.

And yet there'll still be quite a few thousand there.

Ticket sales must be well down. I received an email today saying that I could redeem a free ticket through PlayNRL.
