The hype in RL media is ridiculous. We've lost 3 games by a total of 9 points. We're disjointed at the moment but still in an excellent position & with PLENTY of time to get our house in order.
I like the forwards this weekend & our defence is still outstanding. The Chooks will get nowhere near the leeway they had against Dogs, Broncs & Eels.
Momentum is king & there are still 5 weeks BEFORE the semis. Thats one game less than a quarter of the season. IF anyone doubts this, look at last yera. Played our GF in Rd 21 against Melbourne, sh*t started going down hill against Penrith & then we got beat by the Raiders, Broncos & flogged by Souths. It was all over at that point.
This year, we have tapered off after rep season, players are fresh & we have guys coming back in to the team. Bennett is giving them every opportunity to peak at the right time this year & at anywhere near our best, we are clearly the best football TEAM in the comp.
I cannot wait until about three weeks time when we are clicking. I have complete confidence in the fact we will be, but it is ultimately out of our control and in the hands of a man who is, without a doubt, one of the great teachers in world sport history. We are still turning up EVERY week, but just not in sync at the moment.
Outside in Sydney today is a beautiful, spring like day. I cannot wait for the real thing and for the finals to come around this year.
