Great Halfbacks = Premierships

Obvious I know, but I was just thinking about the halfbacks in the competition and really until Carney gets going in 1st grade we have no show of winning a GF.

95 - Pollamounter?
96 - Toovey
97 - Johns - Langer
98 - Langer

yeah, the rule generally holds, but Wing wasn't a great halfback, although he may be a great player. Polla-mounter and Field were probably a bit average as well.

Wing had Fittler.

Gower had Cambell.

I think you need not only a great halfback but also a good combination in the halves. This sunday either:

Fittler/Finch or Anasta/Sherwin will go on that list.

in 99 the halfback was kimmorley :roll:
in 2000 langer wasnt with us, he was in england with warrignton, kevvie walters is the guy your looking for their

Wing was a better half than Finch will ever be. The Roosters should go buy a big name hooker next off season and release Finch so Wing can go back to 7!!!! But hopefully they don't so I can keep laughing at Finch stuff ups.

Yeah Toovey was Half in 1996, but I think Kosef might have been 5/8. Cliffy started off the bench.

Yes I probably am still hungover, I haven't had a sober weekend for about 2 months, thank god the footy is over, my wallet and liver now have a chance to recover.

I know he was a second rower, but I swear i saw a team sheet somewhere that had him listed at 5/8 for the GF. :?:
