based on the nrl decision today the storm players can go out and do what they want in the final. Knee people in the head and knock them unconscious, chicken wings, grapple tackles, crushers and there is no way they will get suspended!!
good this is the way it should be, i love the footy in the 70s and 80s!

You obviously have no idea about the game of Rugby League do you?

The build up to the Canterbury Eels game was like an Origin, and hence was played a couple of gears higher than just about every other NRL game this season.

It was played fast and hard - and in these instances where players are committing 100% in attack and defence, everything is not going to come off according to the theory of how it is suppose to.

Compare this game to the two bore-fests that Melbourne played against sub-standard opposition.

If you are a Storm supporter, you give the rest of them a bad name by living up to the unfair stereotype, that you are entirely ignorant about the game of Rugby League and how it is suppose to be played.

If you are not, then you are just a deadset stuipd piece of sh*t who is devoid of any common sense or good idea.

Either way, you come across as a Class A F*ckwit ;-)

HaHa so by your theory cause its a big game its different to other weeks , your the only class a f**kwit mate

LOL, agreed, they introduced most of this sh*t, cry me a f**king river if it gets used against them.

Frankly there needs to be a "trading scheme", like when that androtop kicked Ryles in the shin a couple of years ago, Ryles should have been given 10 minutes alone with him, fists bound in tape, tar and broken glass.

You grapple someone, you deserve to get your eye jammed back into your skull so hard blood bursts out of the socket.

Nobody in the world would be scared of Ryles, he is the biggest pussy ever to don a rugby league jumper

It must really hurt some of you to see us in the GF yet again. Don't worry there is more to look forward to next year cause if anything we are getting better.

Good to see the old boys NSWRL network alive and well! No wonder non Sydney teams wanted out in '95. Joke of a decision. How kneeing someone in the head is considered less of a crime than rapping your arm around their neck or sticking your foot in to where the ball is beiing planted down is anyones guess?

Probably the same way a Queenslander (one going to AFL of all things) tripping is less of a crime.

No . . . "Ha Ha" . . . you obviously lack reading and comprehension skills.

My "theory" is that when teams are thrown into big games, with a lot of pressure and media-hype and build up, they will give it a bit more enthusiasm and desperation than they normally would.

Effectively, they will play harder and tougher.

Injuries may therefore be more prevalent, given that this extra effort and passion is applied to a contact sport.

They can be unfortunate.

In real-time Hayne was going for the ball, as was Goodwin. Hayne misjudged his timing, and unfortunately had a collision which given its speed, he was not in control of.

It was "unfortunate".

To say it was deliberate is ridiculous.

He also misjudged his timing with the kick through that Morris scored off, but no-one calls that deliberate.

It's f*cking Rugby League - it is fast, and it is unpredictable, and you play the percentages, and they are not always right.

Exact same for Keating - Hannant is a monster compared to him in size, he was storming through, and Keating did what he thought his best to try and bring him down. In desperation, he got into an unfortunate position and an injury to Hannant resulted.

Again, Ruby League:

Fast and unpredictable.

A contact sport.

If you want clarification on my so-called "big game theory", it is this:

In big games, when both teams are trying to live up to the build-up and hype, they will show far more desperation, and physicality, thereby increasing this "unpredictable" nature, and the subsequent higher likelihood of injury.

To say either of these instances were deliberate, is pure bullsh*t.

They were mistimed and misjudged respectively, and were nothing worse than clumsy.

To be honest, I have really been pleasantly surprised at how gracious a lot of Bulldogs fans have been towards this incident, and also the Bulldogs players Ennis and Goodwin.

On the flipside, you have Ben Hannant and Kevin Moore who don't seem as capable as showing as much class.

Then you have fans like yourself:

Can't deal with a loss.

Can't deal with the fact that your team was outplayed on the night.

Just bitter, twisted, sour, sooking f*ckwits who do not know who to blame for the team's loss,; can't accept that they were outplayed; so like the parasitic leeches that you are, latch on to anything you think might constitute an excuse, irrespective of how weak it really is.

It is a competition. Your team was outplayed in this particular instance.

Suck it up toots, change your tampon and move on.

Nothing new for the Storm

But then again, if Slater was in the position Hayne was in, Parra fans would be pissed that he got to play.

I'm just glad to see two of the best fullbacks in the game battling it out in the GF :)

So you would go up to him and call him a pussy to his face, pour his drink on his shoes and then ask him outside?

Didn't think so.

NEVER write cheques with your mouth that your body can't cash young man.

But Stewarts not playing? You can't be talking about Hayne as one of the best fullbacks because he's one of the worst.

He'a liability at fullback and that was glaringly obvious in the parra v dogs game.
