Greatest Movie of All Time - Group 1

The Godfather: A timeless epic and a perennial favourite amongst men. Should progress.

The Prestige: I've not seen it personally, but I've heard a lot of good things about this thriller. A dark horse.

The Elephant Man: Another I haven't seen, but just looking at the cast and director, I clearly need to.

Twelve Monkeys: Terry Gilliam's twisted view of a post apocalyptic future and Bruce Willis' attempt to save it. One of the truly depressing films of the last decade.

The Terminator: An absolute classic when it comes to sci-fi/action.

I went with Twelve Monkeys myself. I've seen Godfather and I didn't enjoy it nearly as much as I was lead to believe I would. The hype killed it for me.

The Elephant man for me here, Terminator was good too, much better than T2 despite the adulation from all the 14 year old boys in love with graphic effects.
12 Monkeys ok, the ending was a spin out, Godfather -YAWWN, Presitge never seen it.

Where the hell is Lawrence of Arabia?

Not every movie could make the cut. I tried to get a fairly even spread of critically acclaimed movies, recent hits, and ones I know are LU favourites (hence Anchorman's inclusion). I might have accidentally omitted Lawrence, I'll see if I can fit it in at the expense of another flick.

each are classics and very different films

I've been wanting to watch the Godfather movies for a few years now, still havnt got around to it!

So The Prestige gets my vote, I really like it.

Godfather for mine, but I'm generally a fan of any kind of Italian gangster related movie.

Godfather is boring, I like Italian gangsta stuff too, but more like Goodfellas and the Sopranos
