Star Wars V – The Empire Strikes Back: The film that breaks the rule, Empire was arguably the greatest of all of the Star Wars movie despite being in the dreaded spot of 'second movie in a trilogy'.

Terminator 2: Judgement Day: An absolute classic sci-fi/action film, Terminator 2 will go down as one of the most influential movies of its time.

Happy Gilmore: A favourite amongst rugby league players, Gilmore is arguably the best of Sandler's comic flicks.

Gone With the Wind: A sentimental favourite.

Grindhouse: Combining Tarantino's Death Proof and Rodrigues' Planet Terror, this four hour epic was a stylish tribute to the exploitation film days and an enjoyably violent romp.

no offence but how does grindhouse get a run?

It's well up there in the IMDB Top 250. I guess people judge it on the way it effectively mimics the style of the old 'grindhouse' style double features. Me, I enjoyed both films individually - but they certainly had more appeal as a double bill.

Well, we need two votes to decide on the top seed. I'll take 2TB's post as one for Empire.
