Schindler’s List: Spielberg's tear-jerking modern day classic detailing the exploits of Oscar Schindler during the Holocaust of World War II.

Sin City: Robert Rodrigues' stylish, slick, and gore filled realization of Frank Miller's equally dark comic book.

Once Upon a Time in America: Another gangster flick, but one with considerably less LU love in recent polls.

Groundhog Day: A grossly underrated comic gem. One of the best comedies of all time.

The Exorcist: A film that managed to be horror without being weighed down in cheese and heaving bosoms. Still genuinely scary in these cynical times.

The Exorcist for mine. Certain scenes still gave me the creeeps after a repeat viewing a few months ago. That crabwalk is bloody insane.

Sin City, but, unfortunately I haven't seen the Exorcist or Once Upon a Time in America (love Sergio Leone, but heard it's not his best work, and the running time is prohibitive).

LOL @ Groundhog Day currently on top.

With your recommendation I might have to give it a go.

Schindler's List.

Great set of movies in a variety of genres but Schindler's List is a personal fave of mine.

do so man ... although it can be a bit hard to follow because it chops and changes between time and setting ... and it's f**king long. make sure you're comfy lol the original was like 4 hours or something and it's cut down to about 3 and a half ... masterpiece if you like mafia type movies ... or a robert de niro fan

I re-watched Groundhog Day for the first time in about five or six years last night. I in no way regret my decision to give it my vote.

Sin City, one of the best movies I've ever seen. Exorcist was OK, but I just don't get scared by movies, so I prefer the Texas Chainsaw Massacre style horrors with far fetched ways of killing people.

Sin City and Groundhog Day go through. For seeding purposes, though, we need to split them. The first movie to get two votes in thread is #1 seed.
