Perhaps, Channel 10 did open up their 5pm news with footage and the girls 000 call. Can anyone confirm if this is old news?

Yes..he wasnt charged at the time because the bouncers said Bird did nothing, and footage backed it up. I spose the chicks involved are riding on the back of Birds other conviction. Surely he wouldnt throw a bottle at someone in a public place?

Channel 10 convieniently didnt mention that.

Why are ten reporting this now?
They mention it every 1/2 hour in updates as if it only just happened.

Unless they have new video footage the anti nrl agenda has gone up a notch

Am I going crazy or did Channel 10 just report that Greg Bird was in another incident?

Greg Bird cleared of nightclub assault

* By Lisa Davies, Chief Court Reporter

NRL star Greg Bird has been cleared of any wrongdoing in a nightclub incident in which he was accused of a violent assault against a patron.

A magistrate has described the version given by the victim as like “shifting sands” as her evidence was riddled with inaccuracies and unreliable statements.

Magistrate Jayanne Carney said Mr Bird had in fact been the victim of aggression by Victoria Shannon and her sister who had instigated the drama at a Cronulla nightclub by calling him a “f****** footballer”.

The decision follows Bird being cleared in November last year of glassing his girlfriend Katie Milligan.

Having been originally found guilty of slashing his partners face, Judge Michael Finnane accepted a version of events put forward by the couple that Ms Milligan had been the aggressor in an argument and that Bird had acted in self-defence.

The pair had only lied by attempting to blame a flatmate in order to keep Bird out of trouble, Judge Finnane accepted.

Bird, who has been playing league in France during the controversy, has been signed to the Gold Coast Titans to play this year.

Bill Woods and the red headed Victorian will not be happy

probably won't even mention this despite their "exclusive" video that they were so sure proved him guilty. so sure it was their lead story

Lol

decsion is 5 hours old but only 1 comment ?!

Always very few people around when someone is found not guilty , but if channel 10 make some sort of a claim watch them come out of the wood work.
